[ When the anemone senses its hold being weakened, it abruptly pulls all its tentacles in, the fish that had swum out initially darting back in to huddle inside of their home as it goes into protective mode. To any interested predator, the slimy outside of the anemone would prove an unpleasant tasting treat, difficult to chew and painful on the tongue. To anyone clad in wetsuits like they were, it was just a strange sort of transformation more usually seen when poked by sticks in tidepools.

I don't think it's hurt... do you think it's hurt, or just protecting itself like a turtle or a clam might?
