Pretty sure it stood out to normal people but it's kind of an every day occurrence for me and my friends. Why, thinking of something specific?

[hatamon]

Not exactly. We've always thought of different worlds as connected to each other, so when one is out of order it pulls in the others too.

Since things were pretty messed up where I'm from I'm trying to figure out if Iniidae is the source or a side effect.

[expulsions]

Not a bad thing to wonder. The planet sometimes acts pretty weird so it wouldn't be that big of a surprise if it was the cause of everything else. Besides, that could also explain how we all got here.

How messed up is messed up?

[hatamon]

Rifts opening up between worlds without a real gate. Things crossing over in ways they wouldn't have been able to before. Ending up here right after that doesn't seem like a coincidence.

[expulsions]

I can see why you'd think so. A lot of us were brought to Iniidae in a ton of weird ways and none of them really match up. With things in your world, could they cross back to where they came from or was it a one-way connection?

[hatamon]

They could go back, but it depended on more rifts opening up. Sound familiar?

[expulsions]

Sort of similar to something that was happening where I'm from, but most of the things didn't want to go back and wouldn't stay there when we sent them. We had to physically fix it ourselves.

Here's a question. How'd you get to the base?

[hatamon]

I tried to follow a real gate to answer an emergency call, but it just led me to the Narcissus instead. Luckily Hotaru-chan was around to show me the way here.

[expulsions]

Hotaru's pretty helpful. At least you had help. [He likes her enough.] A bunch of reefbacks carried me here which wasn't as weird as that probably sounds. But I don't remember walking through a portal or anything to get here. It was pretty peaceful which I guess kind of goes with the idea that things for a little while at home were at peace, too.

Might support your sync-up theory a little.

[hatamon]

And raise more questions.

You mean the ocean in your world just sort of led to the ocean in this one?

[expulsions]

Probably more like a lake? Water and I sort of have a different relationship than most people, it wouldn't surprise me if they bled into each other even if they're not supposed to.

[hatamon]

That must come in handy.

Has anything similar happened since you've been here?

[expulsions]

I did end up swimming out into the ocean without really remembering it and staying out there for a week before coming back with six months worth of new memories. So yeah, sort of.

[hatamon]

[What even...]

You're okay?

[expulsions]

Oh yeah, I'm fine. Believe it or not that's actually pretty mild compared to some of the other stuff that's happened back home. I don't remember any of it, but my girlfriend got somebody to pull some video footage for us.

There's always weird stuff happening on this planet, basically.

[hatamon]

Weird is one thing, but our memories being affected like that is a lot harder to fight. Did she get anything useful from the video?

[expulsions]

Found footage of me swimming somewhere I didn't even remember when I came back and investigating a device in an underwater cave I also don't remember dealing with. We tried to go back and look at it ourselves but it didn't do anything for us.

[hatamon]

Pretty creepy. The device is more alien stuff no one can figure out?

[expulsions]

Now you're getting it. Pretty much everything on this planet's alien stuff.
