FARMVILLE | open
[ So, the thing about the base was while it was bigger than Napstablook's old house, it was also a lot more crowded. They kind of didn't feel comfortable there in a major way. So while going out was big and daunting in its own way, it was also the only way to really get some privacy. The fish didn't seem too interested in a ghost, and they were content to float through them in their diving suit with scuba mask.BEEP BO BEO BOP | closed
It didn't take them long to find the farm. Or Rapplejack either. The robot horse didn't impress them too much - not because it wasn't cool, but because when yourcousinidol was a robot, other robots paled in comparison. No, what interested them was the farm. They'd run a farm back home. Snails weren't plants, but livestock was still farming.
Seeing the wild disorder of plants for food really made them want to take it up again. It'd been... something to do. Something they weren't terrible at. ]
I wonder what type of fish would be good to keep...
[ Napstablook was a spooky DJ who didn't have their own turntables here. They did, however, have a robot bandmate. It wasn't the same, but it was easier than asking the other people who made music here to borrow their things.
They put their arm nubs on Mettaton's chassis. ]
Okay... um... so...
[CousinIdol where is your control panel.
Also it was hard not to feel a little flush of pride and happiness being this close to Mettaton, even if he was yourcousinbandmate and you were Napstablook. ]

only a ghost has fondled the robot tiddy
What?

[ Wow. Were they being too forward? They probably were. Oh no they made this horribly awkward. Pulling away quickly, they hovered close in mild anxiety, trying to find a way to form what they wanted to say. ]
I... didn't come here with my turntables... or even my computer. It's... made mixing hard.
[ ... No, they couldn't say someone here had access to a music making program of some kind. Mettaton would just go over and get a use out of it and Napstablook would feel like an imposition both to him and to Dave. ]
So... I was wondering... if you maybe...
[ ............ ]
Maybe...
[ ....................... ]
... could do that.

I sing from there. What are you looking for, Blooky?
no subject
It's... it's just that your old body sort of had a tonematrix on it and I was wondering if the new one did too...
... sorry...
no subject
It's okay! But no, not anymore. This part up here? [ He tapped his pink chest piece with a finger. ] Is for talking. And singing, obviously.
yikes, those typoes. still not used to replacement keyboard.
[ Well it wasn't disappointing, because nothing about Mettaton was disappointing to Napstablook. He was too cool for that. Yet it did mean that they'd have to impose on someone who had no reason to share their own equipment... imposing on someone you knew was bad enough... ]
I'm not... sure what I should do about the music... do you think there's something here that might work...?
no subject
I suppose you could try to play me like an instrument, if worse comes to worst. That, or I can flirt with our AI overlord.
no subject
[ Before she started sending them Ghost Blowjob Woo-Woo, that was. ]
I mean... I'm not ungrateful... it would be really cool...

Uh... [He is. Pretty sure he's looking at a ghost? Pretty damn sure.] ...Is... Is it rude to point out you're a ghost?
[He's pretty sure they're a ghost? He has no idea what is ghost etiquette.]
no subject
Uh... no... I don't think so... unless it's rude to point out that you're a human...
[ They think? Frisk was way smaller than that. ]
no subject
Oh, I don't think so? [He hasn't known many trolls so he doesn't know how interspecies things works. And do ghosts even count as another species? That all seems rude to ask though.] It just surprised me, sorry. I've never met a ghost before.
no subject
[ Super rare, actually, considering Napstablook was the only one left. All their family were dummies and robots. Well, one robot.
Because they don't know about the robot dummies.]Oh. Uh.
Ooooooo?
[ That's what humans expected, right... ]
no subject
No man it's cool? You don't have to haunt me if you don't want to. I'm content being unhanuted. Unless ghosts have to haunt people?
[He's not scared of ghosts but he doesn't know if there's haunting rules or something. He wants to be sensitive to ghosts' needs.]
no subject
No... sorry... I messed up.
no subject
No, no! Mea culpa! I really am very apologetic for making you feel awkward. You can haunt me if you want?
no subject
[ And they made themself feel awkward. What was this nice human apologising for? Oh no, they ruined that too. ]

Salmon, perhaps. But that species does not exist here.
no subject
Oh... so there are no fish here who'd be good to keep...
no subject
[ He straightens up, dusts his hands, and focuses on Napstablook proper. Unlike most people, he doesn't seem to notice that they are actually a ghost.
(He's seen weirder.) ]
Are you here to help?
no subject
I guess...? I worked on a farm back at home.
no subject
[ That gets his attention. Not that Sanson's usual stoicness shows much by way of interest, however... ]
no subject
[ They don't really like the way he's looking at them. It's not that he's especially creepy or intimidating; he's just kind of unwavering. Napstablook didn't like anyone looking at them for too long.
They looked out towards the edge of the farm, as if contemplating leaving. ]

If you find a creature you like, we can build something for it. It should not be a problem.
[ He figures that it would help. He doesn't know any more about keeping animals. ]
no subject
[ They sound so stupid but they do know what they're talking about!! ]
We might need a... sort of... free pasture... or a cage...
