[One second Kanaya was entering the new Universe and the next she was in pitch black darkness. Jolting backwards she quickly hit a metal wall. That certainly did not bode well. With a sigh the rainbow drinker's skin started glowing like an overly enthusiastic light bulb. Kanaya frowned at the realization that she was in a metal box of some sort. Well this just would not do. There was not nearly enough room to be able to safely attempt to cut her way out. That only left one other option.]


"Rose? Karkat? Dave? Terezi? Is anyone out there? Hello?"


[B] >Kanaya: Search for Rose


[Kanaya's first priority upon arrival is to seek out Rose. If she see's you on the way, then a slightly frazzled looking Kanaya will stop you to inquire about the location of Rose.]


"Sorry to bother you, but have you seen Rose? If you could tell me where I am most likely to find her, then it would be much appreciated."



[C] >Kanaya: Balk at the Horrendous Interior Decorating


[Sometime after Kanaya has been brought back to the base, in the process of her exploring she has come across the... unique... interior decorating of one Hajime Ichinose. Kanaya's right hand twitchs towards her lipstick. But no, despite the service she would be doing, it would be unwise to do such when she's just got here. Instead, a grimacing Kanaya will inquire of Anyone who walks by about the identity of the decorator.]


"Excuse me, do you perhaps know who did all of..."


[She waves a hand at Hajime's decorating.]


"...This?"



[D] >Kanaya: Engage in suit customization


[After a long day of running around with mild stress at best, Kanaya can be found relaxing in the Library. Sitting in one of the large plush chairs, Kanaya is stitching the Virgo symbol in jade onto the front of her diving suit. Based on the large amount of Fabric piled around the chair, it is fairly clear that this is just a warm-up. Kanaya is in the mood to just sew and forget, so any requests will likely be taken.]

[ karkat had been minding his own business, taking some time to himself after fussing over the sick crew members (again). at least the hurricane passed over so it's somewhat less claustrophobic in here. he's actually planning on going outside the base when he hears... someone calling his name?

he pauses. his first thought is that someone is trying to reach him telepathically but no. he definitely heard that out loud. even more, that was definitely a voice he recognizes but not one he has heard since arriving here. ]

Jegus, am I imagining voices now? This is a new low.

[There is only a second between Kanaya recognizing Karkat's voice and her promptly starting to bang the door.]


Karkat?! No, it's me! Kanaya!


[Kanaya is immensely relived to hear Karkat, as that means he is accounted for, and that everyone else is likely nearby as well.]

[ karkat jumps slightly when she bangs on the locker, and he is about to start yelling until kanaya speaks again. ]

Holy shit, Kanaya! What are you doing in there?

[ he has so many questions?? but more importantly, he should... get her out of there. give him a second while he attempts to open this thing. ]

You are really goddamn late to the party.

[ Is someone TALKING ABOUT DESIGN?! Mettaton has plenty of experience doing design. He had his own resort, after all! He practically bursts through the wall (but comes through a doorway, like a goddamn normal person - he's trying, okay), looming over this... other nonhuman. Like the rude one with no taste, but with nicer hair and makeup. ]

I have NO IDEA, but I love it. I'd also love to see what you're going to do with it, darling.

[ He stood, arms on his hips, just barely clearing the height of the room, sparkling and energetic as always. ]

[Now who is this fabulous being? Either way, Kanaya mentally facepalms at his response. She supposed that the whole 'it looks like an rainbow exploded in here' look appealed to some, but on the subject of what she will do...]


Well for starters, I will settle on a color scheme and theme rather then simply putting everything in with no regard for aesthetic or symmetry. Perhaps go with a color scheme of blues, blue violets, and dark purple for a sort of underwater look. Or if we wish to feel more grounded we could go with dark greens and browns. Perhaps even bring in some potted plants to add to the forest feeling. Honestly there are endless possibilities, but one of those two options is what first came to mind.

Oh, I love your ideas! Loki and I found some of these darling plants that purr when you pet them - shall I gather some up for you to decorate with? Perhaps a tasteful ficus or those... round, lumpy plants.

[ The library is where all the cool kids hang, so naturally Loki stops by sometime in the evening. More people hole up there now than in the past, so he isn't surprised to see someone else already there. He does straighten slightly in interest; at first, the horns hinted that it might be Karkat, but he sees now that it's a new troll entirely.

He pauses by her chair on his way to a bookshelf, glancing at her handiwork. Virgo, is it...? ]

[Kanaya pauses in her sewing and looks at the visitor. She mentally applauds his outfit, especially the bow. It is honestly a relief to see someone knowing what they are doing.]

Do you do a lot of stitching and sewing? It would be a breath of fresh air to have someone really knowledgeable about clothes around.

[At least Dave has been getting Dirk to dress nicely lately, in snazzy slacks and an orange waistcoat over a dark shirt. He even wears the tie sometimes! (He is very bad at telling his brother 'no.') He is doing his usual rounds wandering the place, especially now that he is feeling less like he'll throw up every time he needs to flash step. He registers dark hair, grey skin, and opens his mouth to call out to Fef or Karkat and

Karkat found me in a locker in the farm. It was quite frankly, ridiculous.

[He takes a moment to try to scale this in terms of the recent arrivals.]

A kid popped out of the laundry machine Dave made about two weeks after he made it.

[So... not quite so ridiculous, but still really weird. He didn't know they had lockers on the farm actually.]

Despite the ridiculousness of this situation and our meeting again, I wanted to say 'hi.' I was hoping that you'd arrive here for Rose's sake if nothing else.

[ Undyne, who really has no business being in a library at all, has been watching the other woman curiously for the last couple of minutes. Watching her work that fabric and thread in ways that must be magic, there's no other explanation here. The stuff this lady can do with a bit of string is pretty freaking cool! ]

[Kanaya looks up and boy that sure is a fish lady.] Oh, thank you for the complement. I do not believe we have met yet. I am Kanaya Maryam, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

I'm Undyne! Nice to meet you too, Kanaya. [ Someone nearby hushes her and she looks sheepish, dropping her voice a couple of decibels. ]

[ Lucky for Kanaya, Rose happens to be within earshot. Maybe not lucky for whatever person Kanaya is harassing, but Rose doesn't actually care about interrupting. She'll come up behind her, and speak quietly. ]

Hm, I do believe I've seen her recently? I'm not quite certain.

[Kanaya gives a startled squeak and spins around to face Rose. She really needs to get her focus back together, seeing as Rose snuck up on her no problem.]

[Boy that sure is a hug coming your way. Kanaya can feel a large part of the stress that was building up drop away already, now that she had located her Matesprite. Today has not been a good day by any means, but it is now better then it was just a few seconds earlier.]

[ Rose perhaps clings to Kanaya for a bit longer than she would normally, and when the hug ends she immediately takes hold of Kanaya's hands. Hope you don't need them, because Rose apparently does. ]

As I am to see you. It's been far too long. I hope your arrival wasn't too perilous?

Kanaya may or may not be appalled by the terrible tiger-stripe sweats he's got on, complete with crappy black tank top. just another fashion disaster in your life, sorry girl]

[he pauses at the door, realising there's someone in one of the chairs]

Ah, there You are Dave, I was wondering where you were.

[She'd seen everyone of their group, but Roxy, and was starting to get worried about the one she knew well. Young man, you are in so much trouble when she finds out about this time travel baloney. Value the calm before the frilly princess dress storm.]

Erm, anyway, it is a bit discouraging to hear such a thing, but, as long as this style of decoration is kept to a minimum... I will live.
