yo this base is too small!!! i keep hitting my head on doorways

i know this isnt eorzea anymore but it still hurts when youre too big for your new home

also i need a room to actually settle into, if anyone is okay with a big roegadyn fella rooming with them let me know. i sleep naked but ill get into the habit of staying dressed. youre not my wife so no seeing those goods hahahaha

OH my pet dodo stays with me. she's Popoto and she's dumb and quiet and she knows to poop outside

[Well, relatively soon. Al doesn't know the layout of this place yet, and so it takes him a while to find the kitchens, but eventually a seven foot plus suit of armour is poking his head in and spotting the pink eyepatch.]

Uh, hello? I think we spoke earlier about a place to stay.

[ Dori's seen paladins in similar armor, but it's still odd they'd be in it running around the base. He tilts his head slightly, and puts down the slice of buttered toast he was midway through eating. On second thought, he puts the toast down on the ground and his fat, round, googly-eyed bird companion squawks and starts eating it.

Dusting off his crumb-coated hands, he offered one massive, calloused hand to shake. ]

Doeranka Agatbraenasyn, but 'veryone calls me Dori.

Wow, I can see why.

[That's some name. Al holds out his hand in return and shakes it firmly, the metal and leather grip of his fingers strong.]

I'm Alphonse Elric, but you can call me Al. The room would be shared with my brother too, Edward, is that okay?

'course it is. 'm jus' glad ter have a place ter call me own. I'll even keep me pants on.

Um, yeah, definitely do that.

[He does not want to see strangers with no clothes on, thanks.]

So why haven't you claimed one of the free rooms as your own?

[ His eyebrow quirks slightly, and only the sound of his bird munching happily can be heard. ]

Ye can just... do tha'?

Well... nobody told me that I couldn't, and you have to have somewhere to stay, right?

[He figures it's okay.]

If they need the rooms for something else, then I'll move.

Huh. Nae somethin' I'm used to, tha' s'all. Guess I dinnae need ter bunk down wit' ye after all!

[ He laughs, all rough, dry and gravelly. ]

[He would still do it if needed, but it seems like the guy will be happier on his own.]
