this thing is pretty useful and ursula was very helpful. took a little bit to get it to work. but it's working now at least!
this is public right? has anyone here seen my friends? i'm looking for two bros named dave and dirk and my other friends, rose, jade, roxy, nann... i mean jane and jake. also let me know if anyone has seen any trolls around! hard to miss them, especially karkat.
while i'm at it, i got what i think is the basics about this place. didn't really know what else to ask since i just got here. starting with that i guess. so this place is called iniidae. it isn't really what i expected when i opened the door to get here...
oh yeah! my name is john.
action;
[Nothing like the very real, if brief fear of drowning upon his arrival to this place to give him something of an appetite. Upon locating the kitchen, John's face lights up with delight and he immediately begins to search the area for some non-dessert like food.
Seeing the fridge, John yanks it open and looks over the food. Wow. That's a lot of fish. With a shrug, he takes the most tuna looking container and walks over to the counter.]
Is there bread anywhere?
[Dammit. Where the hell is the bread? John begins to rifle through the cupboards trying to figure out where it is, and where everything else is.]
video;
[The feed clicks on and a young man sits in the dining area with a smile on his face. He attempts to angle it on his wrist in a way that allows a proper view of his silhouette. John mouths the word 'ow' several times as his arm cramps up and he pulls it back so it's awkwardly facing the corner of his face.]
OK. So now that I've dealt with the food crisis. I've apparently been here before. I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of where I stayed and if I left anything behind? Or any instructions? Written in pen... I hope.

[Taking it in stride one step at a time. John slides over a plate towards her. He eyes the remainder of the lunchable.]
I don't think we have a furnace for those things, so the next best thing is a garbage.

Before picking up the plate, she holds the lunchable up almost defensively. ]
That seems wasteful. It's not, like, good or anything, but I can just finish it.

[John nods to her and picks up the sandwich to take a bite, eyes widening a bit at the taste. That... Is definitely not tuna. It's a little stronger than tuna, though not unpleasant?]
Wow. Wonder what kind of fish that is.
Oh. I'm John by the way.

[ There were only a couple crackers left. She eats those, then pulls the plate with her sandwich onto her lap. ]
Alex. Cool to meet you.
[ Sort of. Given the circumstances. She watches his expression, then gives the sandwich a skeptical look before taking her own first bite. yep. that's. definitely not regular tuna. HUH. ]

[John makes a gesture that could only mean affirmation in her reaction to the sandwich she took a bite of.]
Right? What kind of fish is this? I mean, not bad. Not bad at all, but weird.

[ Distrustful Munching™ ]
Plus I get the feeling nothing I knew from home really applies here, anyway.

[John chuckles, amused a bit by that revelation.]
Maybe. I don't think everything we learned is going to be useless... I hope.

I don't know - I just... Don't feel like I knew much that'll be useful. I guess you'd call that a failing of the public school system? [ ha ]

Why am I being lumped in with you?

Yeah, I guess that's true.

If you need help though, I can do that.
