Of the three objectives handed off to the eclectic group of individuals currently onboard with URSULA, creature observation is perhaps the easiest one to fit around assisting with the other two. The safer shallows around their underwater domicile make an easier first target, but swimming out to where the kelp forests begin might be important once transportation out to the Aurora becomes viable, and even afterward. There's a rich variety of sea life around them. While the focus appears to be on creatures that have started acting erratically or might be a possible danger to the "crew," anything and everything is fair game. After all, they all need to eat, and it's an ocean of possibilities out there!

This is how we do it! )

[ early in the evening, everyone will get a little tingling in their brains as Korosensei decides to test out this wide-range telepathy thing. The concept isn't new to him, but its actual existence outside of science fiction is; it's going to take a bit of getting used to, no doubt. But it could be very useful once mastered.

They've got work to do, besides! ]

Testing, testing... Hello, and good evening, everybody! This is Korosensei speaking. With any luck, all of you can hear me right now! Don't we have such exciting technology in this base? [ he speaks with the ease and clarity of someone very used to talking in front of an audience, although he still has that sort of annoying lilt to his voice. ] You may be aware that our hostess has a job for us to do - a dangerous one, too. Radiation poisoning is quite a serious thing! I'd like to gather anyone who's interested in solving the issue Observatory #3 to trade ideas, if you please. It's imperative that we all learn to work together here if we want to stay safe! That will be all. This Sensei hopes to see many of you there.

[ and, indeed, he'll be waiting exactly where he said he would. Those who have met him before doubtlessly found him hard to forget; those who haven't will find themselves facing a yellow-skinned, octopus-like creature, easily breaking nine feet tall and with a grinning face, wearing what looks like a graduation robe and cap. Of course. Korosensei is standing there patiently, tentacles linked politely in front of himself, and he greets anyone who actually comes. ]

Wonderful! Sensei is relieved people are truly interested in not being irradiated. It's an unpleasant experience. Really. [ as if he has experience?! ] According to URSULA, there's a radiation leak coming from that downed ship, the Aurora. Well, there are multiple ways of solving the problem, and I'm open to hearing each and every one of them! However, my recommendation would be to seal the breach at the source somehow. The most effective type of shielding is generally heavier metals. Therefore, Sensei's suggestion is to cannibalize another part of the Aurora to use as shielding. The tricky part would be obtaining it... Well, I'm immune to radiation, but, um... If it can be avoided, I'd like to avoid swimming as much as possible...

[ then why are you here, sensei... ]

A-anyway, a penny for your thoughts!
