[ Truthfully, he's a little unsure about addressing the people here with an AI who is always lurking. Without any real proof to believe anything that's been directly passed on to him, telepathy is (mostly) out of the question too; it's strange having more than his own thoughts in his head. Besides, this feels too close to home to warrant a repeat of those incidents. Still, a rundown of things seems like the first step in the right direction. He gives a thin smile. ]

Hey, everyone. I know this has probably been said before, but I'm willing to take that chance. [ A short pause, and he's firm as he continues. ] Back home, it was my job to help keep people safe, and I think that's a good place to start here too. I don't know much about what's out there, not yet. But if we work together, I'm confident we can protect each other and anyone else who needs us to be there for 'em.
