Of course today will be the day we may all die.
[He sighed deeply.]
How unlucky.
[ When Roxy finally comes to that evening, she mutters something unintelligible (and probably very vulgar) under her breath. She's not even sure what woke her up; all she knows is her first good, deep, sober sleep that she's gotten in weeks has been interrupted, and she's a little cranky. She must have zonked out while out and about? Was she that exhausted? More importantly, she's starving. She should probably get back to the base for family breakfast. It feels like it's been ages since she last ate.
However, when her vision clears, she realizes she is... not where she's supposed to be. She wakes up in a strange pod-like thing in some strange room she's seen before, and everything is green and under water.
Son of a fuck.
She should probably try getting out of here and figure out what the heck is going on, but how is she even supposed to get out of this pod...?
Uh.
Oh.
That's right.
She's tired, okay. So she forgot she can teleport there for a second, sue her. No more fucking around now so just like that, she poofs and is outside the pod, and that's that. Now to get the fuck outta dodge... ]
[ Roxy and Komaeda may be ready to leave, but it seems their captors have better ideas. After the umpteenth time trying to get away from these dudes, and being teleported right back into the damn pods, Roxy decides to take matters into her own hands. She's been dying to get her hands on one of these things ever since the stunt they pulled on Rose, anyway. Tonight, come hell or high water, these fuckers are going down. It's been decided.
Maybe his Hope can make a miracle happen! Or maybe things will end in disaster. Who knows! ]
For those who monitor Ursula's network, they might notice an intrusion. The culprit seems to be focusing on data logs, specifically between communicators. On closer inspection they are only going through the logs of Komaeda and Karkat and from the date of 11/28. It would seem they are attempting to delete this conversation.
Komaeda has gone through several of the explosives on the base. He has taken some of them apart as well, and has been reading several books and manuals about explosives. He seems to be working on something, however he is being secretive about it. There are warning signs, but do they register as something to be concerned about?
All of his effort has come to fruition! Now was the time of action. With a combination of luck and knowhow Komaeda has broken into Karkat's room, has implanted a bomb within that is setup to explode when the young man next tries to enter his humble abode. Everything seems to be going well and he leaves feeling rather confident. However, is his luck still good? Or will it turn bad? Will someone else's luck happen to override his? How will this tale end today.
All immediate consequences from his actions. Throw him in jail. Beat him up. Yell at him. He deserves it all.
[ roderic is trying to look serious on the feed but it's kinda hard to do that when you have one cat clambering up your shoulder and another one trying to sleep on the top of your head.
he's in the tech lab at the moment, the project of his pushed aside as he engaged with the others over a subject he's been thinking over for a while. ]
So um... Hey. Hey there.
I'm Roderic to anyone new. Hope y'all don't mind me asking you a question 'cause I've been, um, thinking about for a while now.
Can I ask 'bout your world you're all from? I noticed you guys had a lot of abilities that would be categorised as... 'metahuman' where I'm from. How do the others there, ah, what's the world? Take to it? Respond to it?
Like- [ he's getting flustered here. ] What's it like, in general, for you guys with your power set and all? How do the others there treat you?
-Because I'm just curious. Nothing else. [ so... smooth... ]
[Two girls, one in cloaked dark colours and one dressed in light, soar down on a large bird and land on the base island, near the farm. The blond girl in front dismounts first and turns back to the other.] This is a farm, so there must be people around here of some kind. I didn’t see any buildings from above… but we could look around for something hidden?
[ The cloaked girl follows suit, and dismounts from the bird. She reaches out with her empathy, but doesn’t sense anyone nearby. ] It would have to be hidden well.
[Pink girl smiles.] In that case, we’ll have to look very well to find it! [She gives her bird a pat on the neck.] Fly up and tell us if you see anything, friend! We’ll start the search down here. [The bird takes off; Zelda focuses back on Raven with the same smile.] Are you ready to start looking?
Sure. [ Raven deadpans and floats over to get a better look at the crops. It’s so strange. It’s definitely been tended to recently, but there’s no sign of anyone anywhere. She looks back over her shoulder at Zelda, who is smiling at her. Why does she attract so many friendly people.
Do forgive her if she doesn’t smile back. ] … I’m Raven.
[She is forgiven.] I’m Zelda. It’s very nice to meet you.
[ While not the most talkative of the duo, Raven decides to test out her new telepathy to see if she can contact anyone on the island, or elsewhere. ] Hello? [ IS THIS THING ON ] My name is Raven. I was under the impression there would be more people here. Guess I was wrong.
[It’s okay, Zelda will have the friendliness for the two of them. She offers warmth and kindness via her thoughts.] My name is Zelda. We both came here in response to a call for help. Can anyone hear us?
[The Monolith is dark when Chara wakes up. For a second they think they've been transported away again, but when their eyes adjust they realize the pod they'd been sleeping in had popped open for whatever reason.B. Actual Sushi Chef Chara LaBeouf
It's not disorientation that keeps them staying where they are. It's not fear, either. It's a monstrous disappointment crushing their chest. Chara wonders if it'd be worth it to climb back into the pod. They sit and mull over the thought, idly swinging their feet.
In the end, they pick up their communication device and put on their diving gear.
Are you swimming around? Because you may spot a small child somewhere in the vicinity stabbing an unfortunate fish with their survival knife.]
[You're walking alone in the base at night. There's no one around and the lights are out. Out of the corner of your eye you spot them:C.
Chara.
With a fistful of airsacks.
They're kinda dripping all over the floor.]
What? Do you want one?
Any laundry that is not claimed at the day's end will belong to me. Thank you =)
