[Well, Bucky’s reached his limit. As if the calm in T’Challa’s palace wasn’t already nerve-wracking enough, he’s now on a veritable life-long vacation by comparison, and there’s no training facility in the damn base. Shadow boxing only gets you so far. He doesn’t like drawing publicity, but he’s running out of options, and he knows better than to ask the obvious suspects, especially since variety is good and bolsters adaptation on the fly.]

«Don’t suppose there are any fighters around?»

«Name's Barnes. James Barnes. I’m looking for consistent sparring partners. One hour sessions minimum. No weapons, just straight hand-to-hand and close quarters. Willing to taper strikes and throws as needed, but it’s straight sparring and not a lesson.»

«If you're interested, let me know.»

That sounds acceptable with me. Depending on how these sessions go, I could persuade my sister to let them go on longer. [ that's a miracle itself but never hurts to try and believe. she certainly didn't think she'll find herself in this situation. ]

She's nervous. She didn't think I'll try to be doing this sort of thing so soon. [ and so yeah. ]

[He understands the concern of family very well, having been quite attached to his own so many years ago. He nods to himself, though she can’t see, before responding.] «That’s reasonable. Guess the easiest way to prove to her that you’ll manage fine is by just doing it. Shouldn’t be too hard.»

[He doesn’t plan on pushing anyone until he can assess they’re physically prepared for it anyway. There’s no sense injuring a sparring companion if the hope is to keep it regular anyway.]

«Sounds like a plan. Just reach out to me whenever you’re good to go this Friday, and we’ll figure it out from there. Fair?»

That sounds fair enough. [ judging by the quiet easiness from eve's end, she thinks that's a reasonable approach to this. long as ada shows her sister that this could work out, they'll be fine and the hours could be negotiated for another (more reasonable) time.
