Not a diving suit! aka an arrival

[The Gate of Truth opened and he saw nothing. Just the void, the many hands of darkness reaching out to grasp him; and, though he couldn't see it, he could feel the eyes of his real body watching him leave. And then he felt it go wrong. Something twist inside the portal, a redirection that was far from planned or wanted.

And now he's here. Wherever here is.

He jerks to life, one in a long line of diving suits, a huge set of plate armour in a loin cloth. In fact, he jerks so viciously that he crashes into the next diving suit. Which crashes into the one right after that, and the one after that and-- It's a horrific domino effect, with the crashing of the diving suits so loud as to echo down the corridor and far beyond.]

Oh-- Oh no.

[Oops? Hopefully they don't land on anyone. Or wake anyone up.

He whirls around, looking for anyone passing by, any clue as to where he is and how the transport through the portal went so wrong. People are counting on him, he can't be the only one not fighting, he needs to get back.]

Hello? Is anyone there? Please! I need some help.

[Even though his expression can't alter, it's pretty obvious that he's just staring at Kon right about now.]

I'm sorry, but I think I must be misunderstanding you.

This is a different universe from the one I came from, but you can't explain how or why?

Don’t look at me, it's as messed up to me as it is to you. I mean, the last time I jumped into another universe, I was wearing this totally rad dimension hopping jacket and there was a nuclear explosion. I think.

Look the point is, it was weird and under very specific circumstances. Do you remember a totally slammin jacket and a nuclear explosion?

[He's actually beginning to wonder if this poor guy is all there, concern slowly seeping in and replacing frustration. Nobody just jumps to other universes by wearing jackets, that's... completely insane.]

No, I'm sorry, I don't remember either of those things.

[Gently.]

Is that what happened when you got here?

[Wait, what's happening. What is with that tone...]

What? No, I went through some portal in the sky, but Annabeth—she's stuck here too, huge nerd—said those memories probably aren't real. The jacket was back in my own universe [Which reminds him.]

You said you're from Central city, right? Can't believe you haven't heard of me... Anyway, you've heard of the Flash then, right?

[armoured]

Uh, no, sorry?

[But that this guy knows where Central is, it's a huge plus.]

Is he a state certified alchemist? It sounds like a codename, but it's not one I've heard before.

[The Flash. No stupider than the Fullmetal Alchemist.]

Uh...no. [State certified.] He's a speedster. You know, part of the Justice League? [He is beginning to be a little confused. Last he checked, none of the states certified alchemists. Not that it would be the weirdest thing but it sounds like the sort of thing he'd have heard of...]

[Oh good, now they're both getting confused. The lights in Al's eyes dim slightly as he tries to think, but eventually he shakes his head.]

I've never heard of the Justice League, I'm guessing they're some sort of private security team, right?

I...guess you could say that.[But no one actually would.]

If you haven't heard of 'em, I doubt we're from the same universe. They’re kinda noticeable, what with the constant world saving an' all that.

You think there's different cities called Central?

[That's easier to focus on, smaller than the idea of whole different universes.]

Have you heard of Amestris? Central is the capital of Amestris where I'm from.

[There could be, but if he hasn't heard of the League...Kon frowns and then shakes his head, feeling a little bad since the guy is obviously pretty hopeful.]

Sorry dude, never heard of it. I'm from Hawaii if that means anything to you.

[Okay, so they really are from different worlds. Just the thought of that makes his head spin.]

[It's the most redundant thing to say, but it just slips out. Sort of helpless and shocked.]

[Kon hears the helplessness in that very young voice and he straightens out, putting on the most Superman like smile he can muster because he doesn't know what else to do.]

You are, yeah, but there's a bunch of us here who can help you out. What's your name, kid?

[It's probably the best thing that can be said to him, it reminds him that he's not alone and he needs to be strong in order to do his bit.]

It's Al, Alphonse Elric.

[He looks up, lights of his eyes glowing bright.]

[Oh thank goodness, Kon almost sighs in relief.]

Sounds like a good plan, Al. I'll remember that. You got some time I can show you around? Might wanna take that suit off first though. You won't need to worry about fightin' anything off while you're here in the base.

[armoured]

Oh! Uh... right!

[He laughs in a way that is NOT AT ALL SUSPICIOUS.]

Maybe I better go do that now. Right now. And I'll call you when I've done... that.

[Kon...stares.]

Uh...you sure about that? I mean it's fine with me...

[armoured]

Y-Yeah!

[Excuse him backing away now, sorry, Kon.]
