1 | Farm

[Jade isn't sure what she was expecting from the new universe, but pumpkins were not it. The underwater dome is also kind of a shock. What's bothering her more than any of that, though, is that she appears to be alone. Again.

Jade extracts herself from the pumpkin patch and begins to poke around. Things feel weird here - she can't feel out everything with her space powers like she used to, or at least not the to same extent. She can feel out most of the farm area, but beyond that... nothing. Is this what it means to be out of the Medium, finally? She begins to float around idly, taking everything in. There's a lot of different kinds of plants here, so at least she doesn't need to worry about starving. But who set all of this up?

Jade cups her hands around her mouth and calls out:]

Hello? Is anybody here? I like your plants!

2 | Base

[Eventually, Jade finds her way to the base through use of the underground tunnel and a little bit of teleportation along the way. She's a little tired after all of that, but her curiosity far outweighs any exhaustion.

Anybody who happens across her will find a teenage girl with fluffy white dog ears floating a couple of inches above the ground, her "Fun Survival Pack" clutched to her chest, mumbling and unended stream of questions to herself as she takes everything in. She may not be entirely paying attention to where she's going.]

How did all of this end up in the new universe? Is this just Sburb trying to give us a headstart in colonizing the new world? Why is there all this water here? And what happened to- oof!

[Guess who just floated into a wall. Maybe offer the new girl some help?]

I'm glad that it takes more than a wall...

[he still worries, as makoto is prone to do, even if her words put him at more ease of how she is post-wall collision.]

You don't feel disoriented or anything, though? Better safe than be sorry, and it sounded kind of bad...

Really, I am fine! I've taken much harder hits than a wall before. I didn't even hit it that hard!

[She places her hands on her hips and sticks her chest out a bit, trying to give off an air of indestructibility, like a super hero or something.]

Any and all disorientation is just from being new to the base, not from any head trauma!

[well, if she says so. makoto's more than used to individuals who have the ability to really look after themselves. if this girl said she could, makoto was bound to give the benefit of the doubt; she seems confident, at least.]

Alright, I believe you. I could answer any questions you may have though, as being new to the base and all.

Well...

[Jade trails off, really thinking about what she wants to ask first. There are so many unanswered questions, and she doesn't even know if some of them have answers. She settles for one that she hopes is somewhat concrete.]

Why is the base underwater? Is the surface not okay for some reason?

[splasher]

Oh, no, the surface is more than fine. It's just that this entire planet is more ocean than islands--which are scattered and few in between. Which means that most of our resources we gather them from the ocean, rather than from the islands.

I think we're actually thinking of expanding onto an island, soon? So it's not like we haven't considered it.

I see! I used to live on an island, so I guess I'm just used to getting all of my resources from there. Then again, I guess it was just me living there. I don't know if I could have sustained a base full of people.

It will be nice to be back on an island, though - this base seems like it could get a bit cramped!

[splasher]

On an island, by yourself? It sounds like quite experience, to be honest...

We can always leave base, though, so you might find that to your liking after all.
