1 | Farm

[Jade isn't sure what she was expecting from the new universe, but pumpkins were not it. The underwater dome is also kind of a shock. What's bothering her more than any of that, though, is that she appears to be alone. Again.

Jade extracts herself from the pumpkin patch and begins to poke around. Things feel weird here - she can't feel out everything with her space powers like she used to, or at least not the to same extent. She can feel out most of the farm area, but beyond that... nothing. Is this what it means to be out of the Medium, finally? She begins to float around idly, taking everything in. There's a lot of different kinds of plants here, so at least she doesn't need to worry about starving. But who set all of this up?

Jade cups her hands around her mouth and calls out:]

Hello? Is anybody here? I like your plants!

2 | Base

[Eventually, Jade finds her way to the base through use of the underground tunnel and a little bit of teleportation along the way. She's a little tired after all of that, but her curiosity far outweighs any exhaustion.

Anybody who happens across her will find a teenage girl with fluffy white dog ears floating a couple of inches above the ground, her "Fun Survival Pack" clutched to her chest, mumbling and unended stream of questions to herself as she takes everything in. She may not be entirely paying attention to where she's going.]

How did all of this end up in the new universe? Is this just Sburb trying to give us a headstart in colonizing the new world? Why is there all this water here? And what happened to- oof!

[Guess who just floated into a wall. Maybe offer the new girl some help?]

[Jade looks around at the "sardine can" comment, considering it. It doesn't feel that bad to her yet... but then again, everything here is new and interesting, which affects her perception. Once she knows her way around...]

I can definitely see how it could feel like a sardine can! It is kind of small, and we are even underwater like sardines are. Is there somewhere you can go that's a little more open?

[potentite]

Oh, yep! There's a couple of islands. [He should expand on that and be a little less shy. He's really trying! He's doing a lot better than he would have a couple of months ago.] Um, they're a little like home! One is probably more like your home since you didn't have so many monsters like mine, right?

[cuteandquarky]

No, no monsters there!

[Unless you count Bec, which Jade most certainly does not.]

I am pretty sure that if there were any monsters, my Grandpa killed them all before I was old enough to remember them.

...Does that mean there are monsters on the island that isn't as much like mine?

[potentite]

Well, there's a number of fiendish beasties but nothing too awful, I promise. As long as you keep your eyes peeled, it's safe enough. I go there all the time. But... I like the one that's safer better.

What kind of stuff is there? And what kind of protection do we have? Any guns?

[Her grandpa taught her to never go out unprepared.]

[potentite]

I have tons of guns! [He tells her it proudly, because there's no way he would let her down and not have guns? This is the most important thing out of what she asked.] A lot of people are like us and have some sort of ability or power. I still don't go anywhere without my guns, though. As far as the creatures go, they aren't as bad as the ones that lived on my island. The only troublesome thing is how many things are poisonous.

[Yes, guns were definitely the most important question there.]

Well I am glad that everybody is armed! If not, I think we would have needed to fix it as soon as possible!

How poisonous are they?

[potentite]

I haven't tested them. [A little sheepish, he adds:] You're the botanist in the family. I only remember enough to get by.

Well it makes sense not to test out poisonous things if you are not confident about them - nobody wants to get poisoned! There are labs here, though, right? Maybe I can get some samples and test them later.

[potentite]

Yeah! I tried to divvy up some samples for you to have but it's hard to keep plants alive for too long. For me I mean!

That's fine! We can just get some fresh ones. It will be like an adventure!

[potentite]

[He smiles, relaxing a little.] Righto! And, um, in that case, speaking of adventurous movements... Would you be terribly pressed if I asked for a hug?

[cuteandquarky]

[A hug!! How could she have forgotten to hug her long-lost teen grandpa? Jade must have been more shaken by that wall bonk than she thought. She opens her arms wide in what she hopes is a welcoming gesture.]

Of course you can have a hug! Come here!

[potentite]

[Jake smiles brightly and immediately moves in, hugging her tight. Maybe he wanted to hug her more than he let on. But he really did miss her even if they haven't talked much.]

It's good to see you again.

[cuteandquarky]

[Jade hugs back just as tight. She still doesn't have a lot of experience with hugs, so she hopes it isn't too tight.]

It's good to see you again, too. Especially somewhere that isn't Sburb.

[potentite]

[Even if it was too tight he wouldn't mind. It's a Jade hug! A not grandma hug. That's the best kind of hug.]

You don't have to tell me twice. Truthfully, even if I don't quite know where here is, as long as it's out of the game, I'm pretty content.

[Jade lets the hug linger for a couple more seconds before she pulls back. There's only so much friendly affection a girl can give out at one time, even for a beloved relative.]

Well, as long as it's out of the game and our friends are here. It wouldn't be so fun to be alone.

[potentite]

[That's okay. He's pretty happy with what he got and it shows.]

Don't worry, we're not alone. And people keep trickling in. I think we'll all be together as long as we're patient.

I think so too! Even if there are some crazy time shenanigans... we will all be together one day. I know it!
