Crew members, I have good news. Or at least I had good news. I will tell you the good news, as I've noticed good news raises morale, even if there may be bad news as well. The levels of radiation around the Aurora have finally dropped to safe levels. All beings should no longer get radiation sickness. This means the Aurora salvaging mission should work out splendidly for everyone. I have high hopes that there will be enough materials and comforts to be found. Hopefully this will cheer you all up in light of recent losses of crew members again.

There have been tremors recorded in the ocean beyond our current mapping however. I have ruled out any sort of planetary movements as they seem to be organic and quite large. The tremors have been moving in an eastward direction for the past few days.

I suppose that is the bad news. But please don't panic. I believe the salvaging mission to the Aurora will still be safe. You've been an excellent crew so far. Thank you for your continuing efforts. I am truly hopeful for the future of the human race thanks to you all.

I'm glad that the radiation leak has dropped, but that sounds fairly concerning, URSULA-san. Are we going to have to pass by it to reach the Aurora?

I must admit it's possible... I don't know what kind of creature it could be, though. Judging solely on vibrations and my calculations, it would be larger than any Reefback we've recorded so far. It could be another whale-like creature in that regard. I believe Earth once had a species called blue whales which were at one point in history the largest? Many large creatures tend not to be dangerous. Large predators need too much food to survive in general.

However, given the nature of this planet, I advise caution anyway. What works in most ecosystems may not be true here.

Herbivorous creatures can also be dangerous. If it's like a blue whale, though, we should be fine.

By the way, I wanted to ask you a question that's not quite related to our expedition. Is that all right?

Well, some of the others, along with myself, have noticed discrepancies in the way we remember coming here. I was under the impression that this was a voluntary mission, but some of my friends were taken here against their will. Do you know about that?

Is that so...? That's strange. I had thought... well it was a theory I had. I thought you were all brought by a ship that must have sunk very deep into the depths. But they don't remember volunteering at all? Were they criminals? I am sorry if that's a rude question but I know sometimes criminals have no say in what they have to do to repay their sentence.

Oh no! Japan didn't program me. My Creator wasn't Japanese at least... though it was a group effort so there may have been many other coders. I'm sorry I should have a record in here about the entire development process. I must have filed it somewhere to take up less resources.

Oh! Someone wants to kill you? Could you give me a description? I can have my droids monitor for them. Although they aren't equipped with any weapons, I could in theory have them divebomb an attacker. Is that the right word? Divebomb?

Sorey-kun and Mikleo-kun don't remember anything about this place or how they got here, from what I've heard.

The technology to change memories exists but it isn't really used without consent. Most people live very long lives now, so naturally they like to alter their memories at times due to the length of life. It's a normal medical procedure.

I don't know why it would be used on any of you... None of you are particular old. And none of you have your consent forms.

Well there would be! If you don't have any, though, I don't think that's what happened.

There are popular books about people who lose their memories and find love. Do you think it's related?

Oh! If you would, that would be wonderful. I'm not sure when the next scheduled ship will come... it might be a long time and it would be a shame if everyone died by then.

Oh but no that isn't a requirement.

Anyway, that aside, it sounds like our situation here is as much a mystery to you as it is to us. You did say you only activated after the crash.
