open: action, undersea farmville

[ this is a catch-all for anyone who wants to do anything with the undersea farmville mission; for reference the farming area looks like this (though cleaned of coral and etc) and is about three miles south of the base. the protected area is approximately half an acre in size though it isn't a perfect square and has a few narrow side paths from the rock formation.
they're going with the glass dome method of farming so help gather materials for that (they're trying to make One Huge Glass Dome so the picture isn't entirely accurate. JUST IMAGINE IT BIGGER.) and install it, or help plant the seeds that the strilonde siblings rescued from the aurora. or, you know, help clear out some stubborn schools of fish and/or more coral and plants so we have farming area room. or help hurricane prep. whatever you want.
early on in the month there's a telepathic call to arms if you need it, courtesy dave and loki, which amounts to "hey, we're doing a thing and you can help out if you want to get not seafood faster", although with far too many words and meatphors on dave's part and a far less meandering take on loki's part. plz assist them. ]

SETTLING IN (OPEN MINGLE)

It's been an exciting time for everyone, hasn't it? Newer or older, Iniidae's expanded motley crew has variously made a whole lot of new friends and acquaintances all of a sudden, seen the sad remnants of the first crew, been chased around by monsters, brought back what loot they could gather, and perhaps cried over the deathsong of an alien squidwhale. IT'S BEEN A TRIP.
Everyone's made it to the base in (hopefully) one piece, though. So what comes next?

Two questions for anyone with the attention to spare. First, is anyone here capable and willing to create some sort of sensor system or device to install further afield for better tracking movements of large bodies through the water? As a type of early warning and defense system, like wards.
Second, any volunteers for gathering supplies or assisting in fermentation of alcohol for the base? The offer's open to anyone with an interest in the process, if not the end result.

URSULA Announcement

[Around dinnertime, after the sun has begun to set, URSULA will interrupt with an announcement]
Crew members, I have good news. Or at least I had good news. I will tell you the good news, as I've noticed good news raises morale, even if there may be bad news as well. The levels of radiation around the Aurora have finally dropped to safe levels. All beings should no longer get radiation sickness. This means the Aurora salvaging mission should work out splendidly for everyone. I have high hopes that there will be enough materials and comforts to be found. Hopefully this will cheer you all up in light of recent losses of crew members again.
There have been tremors recorded in the ocean beyond our current mapping however. I have ruled out any sort of planetary movements as they seem to be organic and quite large. The tremors have been moving in an eastward direction for the past few days.
I suppose that is the bad news. But please don't panic. I believe the salvaging mission to the Aurora will still be safe. You've been an excellent crew so far. Thank you for your continuing efforts. I am truly hopeful for the future of the human race thanks to you all.

There's a very big, very important expedition happening - the base's first trip as a group to the Aurora to go salvage what's inside! Very big, very important, and happening... next month. They're not going anywhere until they've conducted some research on that downed ship and gathered a good base of intel on how they might take care of - and protect - themselves.

telepathy | a question for the ages

[ It's about mid morning when she asks, waiting for people to ostensibly be up and about. It's also a question that's been burning in the back of her mind, to the point where she's brought it up a few times with various people on base. Now? Time to idly ask the masses. (Not that there really are enough of them for masses, but there doesn't need to be.) ]
For any who care to volunteer what they remember about their arrival here, or what led to it, I'd love to hear about it. From the discussions I've had up 'til now I feel as if no two people appear to be here under the same understanding. As far as I could tell, this was an accident of space and time and magic, which isn't all that helpful or understandable when something this large shouldn't have taken me by surprise.
