[Sorey and Mikleo have pretty much been sleeping like the dead for the past couple of weeks, following their accidental fight with the Dragon; their breathing is steadily, and they don't seem too debilitated by the long nap, but they also, worryingly, won't stir out of it.

until now -- both of them start to come awake at the same time, turning onto their sides, one of them letting out a queasy sort of groan. this is not an entirely pleasant revival.]

sorry if we worried anyone we accidentally got in an argument with the dragon again

we don't recommend doing that by the way. it looks like we were out of it for a couple of weeks. did we miss anything important?

[...or if you'd rather talk to them in person a little later in the day, they'll emerge from their room eventually, though probably nowhere too far -- kitchens, library, that sort of thing. they're kind of wobbly and look unwell, though not too terribly so.]

[A big stomach is never something to be frowned upon in this company. Sorey doesn't hesitate to dig in too, though he eats slow. The nausea is still wearing off and it would be the worst first impression to throw up all over the place.]

Mikleo's a pretty good cook, and if you're ever hungry he'll make something for you.

That's pretty awesome, I may have to take him up on that offer.

Even if he ever grumbles about it, he likes helping people. --I mean, I could make something too, but it won't be as good.

You and me both. I'm not much of a cook, either.

There's a lot of that around base. We need all of the good cooks we can get here.

Maybe we'll get lucky and some will arrive.

[Pause and then panic.]

Not that I would want people to show up here!

It's okay! I know what you mean.

[He makes a few vague hand gestures with his hands in an attempt to express his understanding.]

You don't want anybody else to get stuck here so far from home, but if they happen to show up it would be nice to fill in the, uh, gaps in our collective experience?

Yeah. Exactly that.

[Clearly they both now meant no ill will, but would not dock the sight of an expert cook.]

I'm guessing most of us just don't have cooking as very high on our "to learn" list, so we don't have a lot of...variety.

Kinda wish it was added to the training in Kuvira's army now that I'm here.

[armies have cooking classes??? you learn something new every day]

Yup. Kuvira's army. She's the provisional leader of the Earth Kingdom.

Impressive! You need a lot of training to stay in an army, from what I've seen. Though I guess it's too bad they don't make cooking a part of the basics.
