[Sorey and Mikleo have pretty much been sleeping like the dead for the past couple of weeks, following their accidental fight with the Dragon; their breathing is steadily, and they don't seem too debilitated by the long nap, but they also, worryingly, won't stir out of it.

until now -- both of them start to come awake at the same time, turning onto their sides, one of them letting out a queasy sort of groan. this is not an entirely pleasant revival.]

sorry if we worried anyone we accidentally got in an argument with the dragon again

we don't recommend doing that by the way. it looks like we were out of it for a couple of weeks. did we miss anything important?

[...or if you'd rather talk to them in person a little later in the day, they'll emerge from their room eventually, though probably nowhere too far -- kitchens, library, that sort of thing. they're kind of wobbly and look unwell, though not too terribly so.]

if you were sleepwalking for a month someone would probably have mentioned it, so if no one has you're probably okay. are you okay? no weird effects? aside from being very confused

yeah i feel totally fine other than like sometimes feeling wobbly because my body didn't move for a whole month

if you want a healing that might help with the wobbling a bit? i mean careful exercise is still the way to go there but it'll give you a boost.

healing? what kind of healing? like a spiritual "we're gonna make you think you feel better" one or like... a more literal magical "we're ACTUALLY gonna make you feel better" one??

literal magical actually feel better! the other one kind of sounds like a placebo effect thing

oh whoa that's super cool! like my aura protects me from physical harm but it can't really do anything to heal anything that's not a wound

yeah, most seraphs are able to do it. i don't think we can do the aura shield the way you do, though! anyway, let me know where you are if you want to do this and i'l see what i can do.

oh! yeah i'm mikleo. i think we might have talked about auras before but i don't remember a lot, it was when the flu went around, i was kind of out of it

[when Mikleo arrives, Ruby is rifling through the pantry's assortment of goodies, arms full of all sorts of snacks. when she's alerted to the presence of another person's footsteps, she's momentarily startled, hastily sputtering out,]

I wasn't gonna eat it all, I swear!

[he--he can't help but laugh, but softly, a hand over his mouth]

It's not like we have a massive shortage of food -- except unprocessed sugar, maybe. As long as you didn't take anything labeled with someone's name, you're probably fine?

[she quickly checks to see if any of the things in her arms have any sort of label on them—seems clear! she sighs in relief, though her cheeks are still tinged a little pink with embarrassment.]

Yeah, fair... I'm guessing you're Mikleo, huh? Your voice is kinda familiar.

So is yours. I think we might have talked before...? Sorry, it might have been a while ago.

[it's funny how much people are scattered at any time of the day, inside the base and outside it, especially now that the space is bigger. it's not surprising that they haven't run into each other more often if they keep different schedules.]

So--healing? Maybe this is good timing too, I think Sorey gets hungrier when I try it on him sometimes.
