action/text | a few days before the party
i. action (locked to alisha/rose)
[Sorey and Mikleo have pretty much been sleeping like the dead for the past couple of weeks, following their accidental fight with the Dragon; their breathing is steadily, and they don't seem too debilitated by the long nap, but they also, worryingly, won't stir out of it.
until now -- both of them start to come awake at the same time, turning onto their sides, one of them letting out a queasy sort of groan. this is not an entirely pleasant revival.]
ii. text (open)
hey sorey and mikleo here
sorry if we worried anyone we accidentally got in an argument with the dragon again
we don't recommend doing that by the way. it looks like we were out of it for a couple of weeks. did we miss anything important?
iii. action (open)
[...or if you'd rather talk to them in person a little later in the day, they'll emerge from their room eventually, though probably nowhere too far -- kitchens, library, that sort of thing. they're kind of wobbly and look unwell, though not too terribly so.]

[pulling on his memory to remember; he's still out of it, and the pause stretches out as he tries to remember past a haze of grogginess.]
Yeah, kind of. Mostly we were just trying to make the Dragon listen, but there was something about the planet waking up too. Have you noticed anything different around here lately?

I haven't noticed anything since the nightmares, but didn't the dreamscape change pretty recently? Someone told me the kind of influence we have there is way more than you guys had before.

[lapsing into silence to think about the correlation between events, trying to find a connection]
It could be that if the Dragon loses power over the dreamscape, we get a little more. But we're not native to this planet so I don't know why it would be us.

You think the Dragon's losing power over the dreamscape?

I think it's getting weaker in general, which could mean it doesn't have as much power over the dreamscape as before. We definitely know the Dragon is sick. And it feels like we've been able to do more there, like you said, so it seemed like a possible correlation. Or maybe it's just that the longer we're here, the more we can do.
