a. a graceful landing

[ if you are outside at the base island today, you might see something unusual. well, more unusual than normal? this place is weird. but up in the sky, you will see one redheaded teenager and a troll with robot legs just... flying on an anti-tank rifle, following one of URSULA's drones. they seem to both just be chatting, not paying any real attention

which is their downfall because it means that the girl (izetta) does not notice when she steers them right into a goddamn tree. they both die the end. no, they just both fall off the rifle and crash onto the ground. at least they weren't that high up! care to go check on them? ]

b. you saw nothing

[ if you were not around to witness tavros and izetta eat dirt, then you can catch them both wandering around the base, clearly new as they don't seem to know where they are going.

izetta is carrying her rifle and tavros for some reason has a hole in his shirt where his chest is and it also seems to be (bronze) bloodstained? how weird! maybe he hit that tree really hard. anyway, feel free to help them out, they are dumb teens. ]

[Oh, how nice! Some new people! Having a friendly good time. That's really nice. Zelda appreciates it as she soars over the island on her Loftwing. (It's good to give him exercise.)

And then they're losers. Good job, kids. Zelda steers the Loftwing to swoop down and she hops off close to them. She quickly runs over to them.]

[ if they happen to wander into the laundry room dave is sitting atop the dryer as he reads what looks like a terrible gothic novel (thanks rose, fuck you) as he waits for the load of laundry to finish. he's better dressed than them in that his shirt has no holes and his jeans are nice as well??? he glances up when he sees People but his gaze - admittedly behind shades - zeroes in on tavros more immediately.

trolls are pretty easy to spot and he thinks this is Rapping Troll, one of the many dead trolls who honestly he can't keep straight. feferi's name was not fieri and he is not sure. what this guy's name is. or who the girl with him is? ok let's go with a neutral greeting that does not give away the fact he is Unsure who he's talking to. ]

Sup. Y'all can't have any of my laundry, if that's what you're lookin' into, but I can direct you to some sweet new duds which do not belong to yours truly?

[ it's fine she didn't need to look cool or anything... izetta blinks at zelda before shaking her head. ]

[ maybe tavros would like his laundry, so she only speaks for herself here. there's an awkward pause before she very quickly tacks on, ] Not that there's anything wrong with your clothes! They seem okay.

[ He's Fine. Probably. Tavros pushes himself up and rubs a hand over his forehead, touching his chest, and wiggles his little robot toes, and discerns that this is most definitely Probably Fine. ]

[ Hello. What is that animal. His eyes slide off Zelda and onto the giant bird wondrously. ]

[ I mean there's no mistaking Dave fucking Strider, alright. The glasses, the hair, the too cool for mainstream schoolfed education - that is definitely the genuine article. He'd be confused about it, but today has been a day of Not Questioning Good Things. Tavros' face breaks out in a gigantic grin. ]

I think that while, I could definitely find those things, on my own, I would appreciate guide to their location. I also, don't, really want your clothing, just, to lay that fact on the table where we can both see it, and, acknowledge it for what it is.

Do you actually want a new shirt because Vantas, Kanaya, and Leijon are all wanderin' around and you probs don't want to go through this song and dance with them. Though if you want to know I think Leijon's behind you timewise and the other two are for sure ahead. There are of course fucking stupid time shenanigans afoot, and it's really best to just get that out of the way now. We mostly try to ignore them, but they sure do exist.

P.S. mostly everyone is living off of the same observatory, if you want to go there, but don't feel obligated to join in. There's exceptions to the rule and everyone kind of does...whatever?
