Oh, it’s part of me. Don’t worry. I’ll clean it all up. [They smile and get more mud off the ground.] Are these dolls yours? They’re quite cute.

Then that's fine with me. I'd like to get along after all. If there's no Holy Grail War here, then there's no reason to antagonize anyone.

It also makes working with each other easier. Though, I am a bit curious, what was this war you mention?

It's a war between mages who summon heroes from across time to take hold of the Holy Grail, a wish granting device. I am one such hero. The title I would go by in that war is 'Lancer' and that is my role. Every warrior is slotted into one of several types, which determines their power and abilities. Saber, Archer, Lancer, Rider, Caster, Assassin and Berserker.

[Enkidu smiles.] Of course... this is only the usual classes. Sometimes oddities happen but I'm not privy to that knowledge. My purpose is to fight the others and win for my master, until we're the only ones. Then we get to make a wish on the grail. Or so it goes.

Ah, so that's why you were asking about a master when you arrived. What will you do without a master and no reason to fight?

Hmm... Are there any animals to take care of? I like nature.

There are! The base itself has a lot of cats, and there's a farm on the island. There's a lot of fish as well, so, there's nature everywhere.

Oh! I haven't seen cats in a while. I love them. We used to have cats wandering everywhere.

Perhaps this will bring you comfort then? They're a bit odd looking, but they act and sound like cats. And mostly look like them as well. There's one that lives in my room too.

She's not mine, she's Hinata kun's. And because of him that's probably why she's alright. But, I also try not to interact with her too much.

Yes! He's from my world. Oh, there's another from my world too, so it's not like he's the only one. He's pretty average, but he's amazing deep down and a really good friend.

Most people are average on the surface but have more to offer. Not everyone but most people do. But that's nice. I'm glad you have friends despite your curse.

Thank you. I'm glad he's decided to be my friend despite everything. But then, he's that sort of person.

I hope I get the chance to meet him and perhaps even become friends, maybe. That part is doubtful.

Why would it be doubtful? He's easy to get along with. If anyone can be my friend, they could be friends with anyone.

Well, I suppose it's possible... But it's not the same without Gil here. Hmm, well, maybe I could devise a test for fun? But I'm not very good at that. Maybe we could wrestle.

I guess if you want a test, though, why wrestling?

Gil is a friend of mine, though I can't sense him here. He used to insist on trials for those wanting to befriend me. It seems like it would be fun to do a trial that doesn't mean anything.

So, it's to test if they're worthy or not? That's quite the care he has. I'm not really good about this sort of thing though, I don't really know much about trials to over come in that sense.

That's all right. It's only for fun this time instead of trying to prove any real objective worth. But yes, it's something Gil used to do all the time. He's rather ridiculous but sweet.
