One fine morning, a boyish voice broadcasts to everyone around base:

There's a lot left to explore inside the Monolith, so I'll be visiting it today. If anyone else wants to come along, feel free.

Once all interested parties are assembled and traveling arrangements sorted out, they're off to the Monolith! Given the length of the journey, this will be a real time investment. A one-way trip takes nearly two hours by flight. Traveling in silence? Boring. How should they occupy their time? Travel games? Joy rides in the Seamoth? Maybe even some old-fashioned chit chat??

Once they arrive, there's plenty to explore. With some sniffing around, they'll find a map revealing that the Monolith contains a cafe and common area, crew quarters, lab, med bay, and "special alien containment" room. However, it'll take some ingenuity to actually reach each area. And by ingenuity I mean bombs.

Which is why the group will need a demolition crew! Get to blasting those walls in logical places. Or illogical places. No one ever said it had to be a good demolition crew. With enough willful destruction, surely all of the the Monolith's secrets will be laid bare in no time.

[ He poses, one leg out at an alarming, inhuman angle, all shiny and heeled... while one hand is still gently patting a plant. ]

[ For a moment, Loki stares, motionless. Clearly he is bedazzled. And then, he golf claps. ]

Ah. Congratulations. I've been meaning to ask this, but... you're a robot, right? What's with that?

[ Ain't got no time for manners. ]

I'm a robot, yes! A sexy robot! Oooo, look how shiny I am!

[ He gestures at his... everything. ]

[ He raises a hand, palm outward. ]

I'll pass.

[ Flesh or metal, he refuses to dwell on the shininess or sexiness of Mettaton's anything. ]

Is it rude to ask what you were created for? I've never met a humanoid robot before, you see...

[ That's okay - he knows it takes some time to process. To come to terms with. Loki may lay awake at night, thoughts full of sexy shiny robot parts, and a flamboyant, flirtatious giggle. ]

Entertainment, darling! And this is how I wanted to look!

[ Loki will knock himself unconscious before letting himself lose any sleep over sexy robot parts... ]

Entertainment, huh? That's a broad subject.

[ He hopes this will not go to a weird place. He lived in Japan for too long. ]

I'm a tv star! An actor! A singer! A cook! A quiz show host!

Ehhh? Are you that famous? Maybe I should get an autograph.

[ Just out of principle. He doesn't actually care about anyone's popularity, but when you meet celebrities you get autographs maybe?? He looks around briefly for something appropriate, gives up after 2 seconds, and then lifts out a pot with its plant. He holds out a permanent marker he somehow has to Mettaton along with the pot. ]

[ Oh! Well, anything goes! it's been far too long since he's signed anything. ]

Who do I make this out to, darling?

[ He wonders if celebrities mind giving autographs to people who clearly who have no idea who they are. ]

You said you're a TV star? Do you think any of your shows are in URSULA's database?

[ He is mildly curious, but he's not certain Mettaton is even from this universe... ]

[ He nods, and writes on the pot in a flowing, elegant, curvy script. ]

"For my darling Loki, heart mark, Mettaton." As for your question, if she doesn't, I know she's been watching me perform! So she may have recordings of that. I would hope so!
