[ If there's one thing obvious about the fully-armoured knight in the middle of the hallway, she (or he?? it's very hard to tell) is drenched. Absolutely soaked. Water drips almost comically from the horns on her helmet, and she leaves a wet trail on the floor with every step.

The second most obvious thing: she's pissed. Maybe even understandably. She had to beat up some stalkers that tried to take her armour just to get here. ]

What. The. Hell. [ Worst summoning ever. She stomps furiously through the base, ignoring anything that might actually provide an explanation, and instead accosts whoever is unlucky enough to be in her path. ] You! What kind of second— no, third-rate Master are you, summoning me like that?!

[For those familiar with Komaeda they might notice that he seems just a little calmer and relaxed in general.]

[Hinata, meanwhile, sounds exactly the same as usual, hopefully exasperated with his classmate's carefree attitude. His eyes are what stand out more, though; anyone who's seen him even in passing would be able to tell that instead of normal hazel eyes, one eye has inexplicably turned a brilliant shade of red. Like he's wearing one contact like some kind of chuunibyou.]

[For him it's felt like a very long time since he's been on the base. Well, perhaps not quite a long time, but there is definitely a lot of things that have happened to him in a short time. Not only did he regain his school memories but he went through quite a lot more afterwards. So, he does not have a particularly strong connection to the events that happened before he left. Such as remembering that he is still not particularly liked by a lot of people. That doesn't stop him from wanting to great the people he enjoys.

Though he will be specifically seeking out Ichinose, Kanaya, Jake and alas, Dirk unless Hinata manages to grab him first, he will hug everyone he comes across tightly with a warm "Hello!" But don't worry, Hinata is close behind him trying to keep any potential conflict low.]

This week has been... well, frankly it's sucked giggleberries! But I've been working on my powers and, uh, I won't bore you with the details of that? Unless you really want them. Anyhoo! C'mere you rascal...

[A little... bull fairy thing flies into view. Jake pets it and it seems pretty happy with that? So it must be nice.]

You should come play with them. They're awful sweet. And maybe it might turn some frowns upside down! It's worth a try, isn't it?

[Meanwhile Jake really is hanging out with some tinkerbulls. Specifically five of them. Despite looking exhausted, he's in high spirits for once and seems to be enjoying the affection from the critters.]

Infiltration

For those who monitor Ursula's network, they might notice an intrusion. The culprit seems to be focusing on data logs, specifically between communicators. On closer inspection they are only going through the logs of Komaeda and Karkat and from the date of 11/28. It would seem they are attempting to delete this conversation.

Preparation

Komaeda has gone through several of the explosives on the base. He has taken some of them apart as well, and has been reading several books and manuals about explosives. He seems to be working on something, however he is being secretive about it. There are warning signs, but do they register as something to be concerned about?

Retaliation

All of his effort has come to fruition! Now was the time of action. With a combination of luck and knowhow Komaeda has broken into Karkat's room, has implanted a bomb within that is setup to explode when the young man next tries to enter his humble abode. Everything seems to be going well and he leaves feeling rather confident. However, is his luck still good? Or will it turn bad? Will someone else's luck happen to override his? How will this tale end today.

Consequences

All immediate consequences from his actions. Throw him in jail. Beat him up. Yell at him. He deserves it all.

A: Pulse: A pulse hit the planet! Life support went out, and that super sucks, but it will only last for an hour. Maybe more sucky: some or all of your powers may or may not have died! That's awkward. Are you disappointed you can't walk through walls now? Has nothing changed for you? Are you now a dead girl because you made a deal some aliens? Are you a sword? Have fun kids, and try not to hold a Class Trial.

B: Salvage: That sure was a ship that went down! URSULA identified it as the Narcissus which is apparently a human military ship so obviously this will be safe and no one is going to come across any type of trouble salvaging the ship. Maybe someone should text Naoko to tell her what's going on. Everything is fine.

D: ETC: Roxy is putting up mistletoe, there are flowers, people keep building stupid things. Do whatever!]

[ Waking up in the medical bay with absolutely no recollection of how she got there was a little disturbing, but when URSULA seems to be relieved, she can't help but worry just a little bit. There's so many questions to be asked, but Chiaki thinks that it's probably for the best to do a little investigation! Which is basically exploration, really -- but of course Chiaki knows that she shouldn't go out without at least taking something with her. Naturally, there's the survival kit, but she thinks that getting lost in a new location would probably be bad.

Something that's just a little hypocritical because she's already been there, done that. But she isn't going to be making that mistake again, so she has a pen and paper at the ready, opting to leave the general vicinity. So you can basically see her practically anywhere, seemingly drawing out a handmade map (it's a vital skill for every classic RPG gamer!) walking very, very slowly. . . which means that she might be blocking the way a good percentage of the time. Oops.

The only exception is when she gets distracted by the entertainment room, because there are games there!! Games are practically her life after all, so if you're wanting to use a game cabinet, good fucking luck with that-- just kidding. But she's definitely going to be engrossed in any of the games available. She'll even play solitaire, too. ]

A. action; Under Construction

[Alright well the evening of December 1st was fucking cold because someone thought that it'd be a brilliantly festive idea to drop the temperature down to literal freezing. And since this seems to be something URSULA's intending for their benefit… Hinata's not going to ask Roxy to just have URSULA turn the heat back up at night. Instead, something he'd briefly mentioned to Hajime before is now a very real, very useful option.

So Hinata can be found in the room with the Fabricator and some tools spread out in front of him. He seems to be putting together some kind of portable heaters, occasionally muttering things to himself as if that somehow helps him focus. There's also a large metal frame set off to the side that he seems to have welded together. What the heck is all this. Isn't a heater good enough? You may also spot Hajime working on sewing a blanket. It’s adorable and is seashell patterned because that is what URSULA told them to do? Who can say no to URSULA???

Also whenever the two Hajimes are working closely together, a certain song comes on. Thanks, URSULA. What a helper.]

What do you want me to tell them? "There's a kotatsu now"?

[Someone wasn't paying attention to whether or not she'd turned the video on. That person is Hinata.

Hajime, meanwhile, just smiles before grabbing Hinata’s shoulders and physically turning him towards the camera. Wave, buddy, you on tv!!!!!]

What Number one means is that we made a whoooole lotta little heaters for everyone because it’s super cold in the base! We can turn them into kotatsu if you’d like, since that’s what we made ours into... oh! Kotatsu are very warm and fluffy, you know? You sit under them and they make you feel all aahhhh, but in a nice way. Ours look very cute too!

[She's so cute. Wtf. Anyone looking particularly close at Hinata might be able to tell that's exactly what he's thinking at her description. She truly deserves the "Cute Hajime" title.]

I guess, uh, I'll just leave them in here with the Fabricator. There's a bunch of different blankets if you don't feel like making your own, and the frame is pretty easy to build if you want one.

Probably the easiest way to do it will be to specify if you only want one character or the other in your subject header, otherwise you'll probably get both Hajimes. Hey, it's Hinata. Just a heads-up to everyone here on the base, but I've been doing some checking into our memories. You know, the ones that no one seems to agree on? I saw some people sent out a survey a couple weeks ago to get that kind of information.

The short version is that as far as I can tell, we all have a shared memory of... drowning. Followed by electric shocks. Regaining the memory is like... I don't know, when you suddenly remember something that was on the tip of your tongue. It makes the "fake" memory of how and why we're here feel like a dream.

I have a couple theories, but nothing concrete yet. I'm going to keep looking into this. Uh...

[And here he looks a little uncertain, lips twisting into a half-frown.]

If anyone wants those memories back, I can help with that. It's... not really a nice feeling to remember, but if you want to, I'll be in the med bay the rest of the day.

For simplicity's sake our dear adventurers are assumed to have been gathered through a series of mutual curiosity at the idea of investigating some curious markings in red on a holographic map. Though the idea to explore was Komaeda's, like all of his plans he relied on luck to actually result in something useful in the end. Either way, there was a group of interested and willing people to conduct this exciting investigation!

Since most of the locations are rather deep, it is off the side of Mountain Island that our lovely heroes go to first! What amazing sights will they see? What curious conditions will they find? Tune in and find out!

Evening, October 10

Following Hajime (Number 2)'s announcement, the Hajimes have worked together to take over the game room/rec room and dance floor. Hopefully no one had any dances or performances planned, because they've taken most of the spare pillows and blankets and hauled them in to cover the floor. And probably made some extra just for this event.

There are snacks! There's the game room! There's enough space to sleep and maybe get close to someone! It's a mingle for a sleepover. The Hajimes are hoping that people will feel better if they go to sleep knowing someone is close by, and maybe if people sleep in close enough proximity, they'll wake up in the dreamscape together and be able to ward off nightmares together. Who knows!

Go wild. But not too wild, there are Children on this base.

I'm back.

[Tadaima. Friends and basemates may have noticed one (1) Hajime Hinata having disappeared for a week without a word, which is pretty unusual for him. Normally he at least tells someone if he's planning to go anywhere.

He sounds tired -- though who doesn't, after what's been happening over the last few days on base? -- his voice a little quieter than it had before, his tone a little more even. He doesn't look any different, though.]

According to what I can remember... one week has passed since I left here. I know some people have reported gaining memories and experiences over the course of a seven-day disappearance. I'm looking for more information about that. How long you experienced, if you noted any changes when you came back. If you remembered events that occurred on this planet while you experienced time passing elsewhere.

If there are memories that just don't line up.

Everything is just... way too tense. Some of you could probably stand to lighten up a little. So since no one else has done it, I'm proposing the idea of a serious addition to the base.

[ Kara has cleared out a landing site just outside the area of the ship Mimi was camped in. Each member of the party has been given a rough map marking the more thickly forested areas, contours marked for hills, and an arrow in the water indicating the general direction back to the underwater base. There are Xs for where the old shipwreck emerges through the green, but only those visible from the air, if you're on foot you're on your own. In Kon's handwriting, the maps are all labelled Amity Island in block letters. The wildlife is friendly unless provoked; we can't vouch for the plants. ]

[ The body itself is in a sturdy wood coffin resting on a bed of freshly dug earth, the lid can be easily pushed off. Time to get cracking. ]

kei and i went to investigate the monolith when the lights were going all crazy and we found some important stuff

- the lights were actually programmed to be a distress signal that can be seen from outer space to flag down other ships
- here's something i recorded, it was password-protected so this is really important stuff obviously lol

"We found something pretty weird on the last planet we were on but nothing compared to this one. All right I'm just going to save a picture here and head out but this definitely needs to be saved. Chris keeps joking this is why you don't trust doctors but come on, we know it wasn't a usual serum cocktail that did this? He just hates doctors."

[It's like island mode except everything is terrible? They've arranged to meet on one of the sand bars outside of the base, outside of URSULA's transmission range. Which... is probably not the safest thing, considering Sonia is literally the most capable fighter of the group and also Nagito is there. But it's fine? It's fine.

Hajime's perched on the edge of the sand bar, having escorted Sonia there as promised. He looks rather apprehensive, but resigned. Because this is something they all have to talk about, as a class. What there is of them, anyway.]

[ to say sonia's arrival is less than stellar would be an understatement. while she recalls waking up at the monolith and being contacted by someone in particular, the details on getting from there to one of the life pods are fuzzy...mostly because she is immediately catapulted into action. unfortunately. not that sonia minds action precisely but she absolutely protests the following:

1) another life pod firing a laser that causes a huge-ass reaper to attack her pod;
2) her poor life pod being Wrecked and summarily being dropped into the ocean;
3) running low on air while holding her breath and trying to dodge. a sea monster;
4) said sea monster ripping her skirt with its teeth?

she protests less the timely arrival of drones (with breathing equipment!) and their saving her, but literally all of them were lost and eaten by a reaper (still no idea what that was, by the way) so today is just. well it sure is a day. it was already a day but now it is even more of a day.

so there's a soaking wet princess near the base entry with a torn skirt and a mildly displeased expression - a true rarity - attempting to wring out her hair. and her skirt. and her blouse. and her everything? she straightens up to perfect posture when she hears footsteps, however. ]

Excuse me! I require a towel at once, or a change of clothes. Please direct me to one of the two immediately.

[ it's a mix of polite and commanding, although she does manage to clear away the very small frown and replace it with her best neutral smile. ]

[ well. she has to sleep somewhere and she doesn't particularly want to share her space with certain people (souda) so sonia is simply picking one of the private rooms that is open at complete random.

Hm...a one-mat room, correct? Exciting! Though the mat itself is missing...well, no matter! I shall take it all the same. Perhaps I should make a nameplate?

[ she's...completely not paying attention to her surroundings, so if you make a sudden noise - even speaking, she'll whirl. ]

Oh! You cannot sneak up on me like that! [ that's a pure order, commanding pose and all. it breaks after a second as she tilts her head to the side and smile brightly, though. ] ...That said, hello! How do you do? If you are looking for a room, I am afraid I have just laid claim to this one.

[ when she has free time late in the evening sonia wanders towards the library. it's admittedly not much compared to the one at home in novoselic, or even the one on the island, but at least there are some books. she's sort of frowning and thumbing through them, though. maybe not any she likes...? ]

Everything seems to be in the same language...oooh! [ humming happily, she pulls out one of those occult books that was found over a month ago, happily flipping through the pages. this doesn't seem like something particularly useful to be reading, sonia, but okay. ] I've never seen this sort of demon summoning ritual before! And potions, too.
