[ Given that he isn't entirely used to this form of communication just yet, there are a lot of jumbled, random thoughts that set the stage before he talks. Random thoughts such as "Man, I'm hungry" and "Wait, is this going to actually work?". Just useless thoughts before he gets in focus. ]

Woah, okay...

Hello?

I'm not sure if I'm doing this right, but I did it once with Roxy and it seemed to play out pretty well. So I'll give it another shot!

Uh... Hey everyone! I'm John. Still sort of new to this place, but I know I haven't been able to formally introduce myself to everyone. I'm starting to recognize a lot of people just by passing them a ton of times, so it shouldn't be difficult to be friends with all of you in no time at all.

I heard that there are some projects going around to help sustain this place. Anyone need a hand? I don't want to be a free-loader, and this place is actually pretty awesome! Wouldn't mind contributing to it and making it effectively more awesome.

So, ah, let me know! I'll go wherever I'm needed.

[ This was originally on the July Missions catch all, but I decided to move its own post for all to see.

Catch all log for those doing July missions in the newly discovered Dunes Biome. Feel free to make top levels here and be sure to state whether they're open or closed to anyone, etc.

Information on the Dunes can be found at the bottom of the Biomes page. Mission details for those exploring the Aurora Wreck can be found here and surrounding life forms here. It doesn't have to be these two missions, but anything taking place in the same area! ]

[Hajime still doesn't like telepathy; he doesn't like receiving anyone's mental broadcasts, and he's used it as sparingly as possible since his arrival. He's never asked to read anyone's thoughts, and doesn't quite know how to feel about someone else potentially reading his. But in any case:]

Okay, the communicators acting up was kind of funny for a few hours. But it's been days. Doesn't anyone know how to fix this?

[Or are people just choosing not to? Whatever the reason, he's quickly grown tired of it.]

action
[--The reason for that might be if anyone happens to run into him around the base, in moments of silence where Hajime seems to be concentrating fairly hard on reading, studying, looking at his electronic student handbook, or seems to just plain be lost in thought, his communicator plays a nice song.]

C'mon, enough already!

[And bashing his wrist communicator against the closest hard surface, whether it be wall, desk, or table. Sometimes that turns it off. Sometimes it just starts the song over from the beginning again.]
