Hey, it's Hinata. Just a heads-up to everyone here on the base, but I've been doing some checking into our memories. You know, the ones that no one seems to agree on? I saw some people sent out a survey a couple weeks ago to get that kind of information.

The short version is that as far as I can tell, we all have a shared memory of... drowning. Followed by electric shocks. Regaining the memory is like... I don't know, when you suddenly remember something that was on the tip of your tongue. It makes the "fake" memory of how and why we're here feel like a dream.

I have a couple theories, but nothing concrete yet. I'm going to keep looking into this. Uh...

[And here he looks a little uncertain, lips twisting into a half-frown.]

If anyone wants those memories back, I can help with that. It's... not really a nice feeling to remember, but if you want to, I'll be in the med bay the rest of the day.

[True to his word, Hinata can be found in the medical bay! Surrounded by all kinds of futuristic-looking tools to enable him to scan a person's brain. Has he always been good at this kind of thing...?]

[Here are the OOC results of what's literally shsl brain fuckery 2: electric (feeling) boogaloo. Also feel free to handwave Hinata helping your character get their memories back if you'd prefer.]

On the recent expedition to the Grand Reef, my readings detected a change in area similar somewhat to the phenomena known as "hotspots". In scale, this appeared to be extraordinarily large, but defining it exactly was impossible at the time as it would require further investigation and descending closer to its level.

I am putting forth this information so that those who may have theories as to what this may be or wish to come see what it is for themselves may know of its existence. I intend to investigate it further myself within the next few days.

[a pause.]

As a secondary and unrelated note, I inquire as to how you would name a mechanical companion that has expressed the desire to be named.

[the drone deserves it, okay. it does enough for her.]
