hey guys it's peter
just wanted to let you know that there's a new modification to the subs and jet skis
it's basically a harness/net attachment that you can use to carry more materials in instead of trying to cram everything into the seat next to you
or for whatever else you want to transport i guess
keep in mind the net for the subs will be larger than the ones for the skis
also try not to get any sea creatures caught in the net (which i don't think would happen since the weave isn't really big enough for anything to slip through but i could be wrong)
so just double check your stuff before unloading
i did some test runs of it on one of the seamoths so i'm like 99.99% sure it works
but if you run into any problems/have suggestions just lmk here
you can also find me in the tech lab or genetics lab
or idk just yell and i'll swing by
if you need to learn how to pilot a sub/jet ski i can also give you some tips
so yeah
i think that's it??
oh nice to meet you i guess if i haven't already
ok over and out
[ ooc: for reference, they look like a variation of these! ]

[ ..................... because it'd be nice to have the knowledge, she admits ]

i mean i haven't either since i'm too young to drive back home anyway
so i think you should be fine
but i would recommend maybe having someone come with you for the first few times just in case?

[ gods save her if it needs shifting PETER HOW CHILDPROOF ARE THESE VEHICLES? ]
no subject
nah it's mostly just like
switches and buttons no keys
i honestly think you'll be ok tho
but if you want i can show you sometime?
no subject
If that wouldn't be too much trouble for you...
[ she can get around to a yes just give her a bit ]

shiro and i had to stuff a bunch of crap into our seamoth and it got really cramped so this is helpful
no subject
no problem
and yeah i feel you
i had to cram a lot of stuff into the seamoth last time i went to the aurora
it was kinda a pain
no subject
so this is what youve been doing in the lab?
you practically live there
sorry for the delay!
and i don't live there??
just because i spend most of my time in the labs doesn't mean i'm there 24/7 ok

took them back home
Re: text

i mean i kind of just hijacked them from their home for science
i figure i can just go back and visit them periodically
they can take care of themselves better than i can

i'll give your nets a test run today.

Do you have any numbers on the limits of those things?
no subject
[ sends dirk an attachment of the specs and the limits for the sub attachment and jet ski attachment because fuck if i know any of that stuff tbh. but it is indeed safe and surprisingly strong because alien spiders are amazing? alien spiders are amazing. ]
no subject
[good choice. dirk reads them over blah blah numbers.]
Nice job. It looks like it could take LARA. I wonder if she'd prefer it to riding on the jet itself.
no subject
but thanks!
who's LARA?

Please humor my interrogation:
- What is the material used for this net?
- And, is it harmful to living creatures?
- And, is it possible to make a version that could be carried hands-free by a living creature? Say, a small animal?
no subject
uh thanks!
i'm not good or anything i just have a lot of time on my hands
and i like making things
but anyway
- the material is a fluid i created based on the silk webbing found in a species of spiders on floater island. it's waterproof and due to the nature of the silk itself, it's strong and flexible.
- it's not harmful to living creatures.
- you mean like a kind of backpack or something?

Now, for the matter of the netting. It sounds lightweight. I am considering commissioning a smaller one for Tenkichi to talk out on walks.
[Careless about the things she accepts as common knowledge, she doesn't think to provide any context for who or what Tenkichi is.]
no subject
[ he is so glad he's alone right now. ]
uh sure
who's tenkichi? and how how small did you want it to be?

[Thanks, HorΕ.]

She is a spirit-fox. She is approximately twenty-five pounds.
Tenko are very good at finding items, but she can only carry so much. I do not wish to overburden her.
