hey guys it's peter
just wanted to let you know that there's a new modification to the subs and jet skis
it's basically a harness/net attachment that you can use to carry more materials in instead of trying to cram everything into the seat next to you
or for whatever else you want to transport i guess

keep in mind the net for the subs will be larger than the ones for the skis
also try not to get any sea creatures caught in the net (which i don't think would happen since the weave isn't really big enough for anything to slip through but i could be wrong)
so just double check your stuff before unloading

i did some test runs of it on one of the seamoths so i'm like 99.99% sure it works
but if you run into any problems/have suggestions just lmk here
you can also find me in the tech lab or genetics lab
or idk just yell and i'll swing by
if you need to learn how to pilot a sub/jet ski i can also give you some tips

so yeah
i think that's it??
oh nice to meet you i guess if i haven't already
ok over and out

[ ooc: for reference, they look like a variation of these! ]

Is it okay even if we've never driven anything before? I mean, to learn how to use these things.

[ ..................... because it'd be nice to have the knowledge, she admits ]
onethousen: (ask | hmm?)

[personal profile] onethousen 2016-09-05 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
... Yeah, that would be good. I don't think I know how to turn one on if it's not like a car, with a key and the ignition.

[ gods save her if it needs shifting PETER HOW CHILDPROOF ARE THESE VEHICLES? ]

[ peter she has a healthy respect for vehicles, and it's mostly "my dad drives one and we're usually thankful when we don't die" ]

If that wouldn't be too much trouble for you...

[ she can get around to a yes just give her a bit ]

even the ones you named? that's sad for you, if not them.

better than you can take care of them, or better than you can take care of yourself?

i'll give your nets a test run today.

You have a problem, and I am not surprised at all by it.
Do you have any numbers on the limits of those things?

But fair.

[good choice. dirk reads them over blah blah numbers.]

Nice job. It looks like it could take LARA. I wonder if she'd prefer it to riding on the jet itself.

She's an AI unit that Naoko gave us. We've been raising her primarily on Floater Island.

Thank you for sharing this with us, Peter. I can tell that you are a person with a kind heart. You must be very good indeed.

Please humor my interrogation:

- What is the material used for this net?
- And, is it harmful to living creatures?
- And, is it possible to make a version that could be carried hands-free by a living creature? Say, a small animal?

[personal profile] mistimed 2016-09-18 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
That is untrue. There are many distractions to occupy idle hands, but you chose to help others. Thank you.

Now, for the matter of the netting. It sounds lightweight. I am considering commissioning a smaller one for Tenkichi to talk out on walks.

[Careless about the things she accepts as common knowledge, she doesn't think to provide any context for who or what Tenkichi is.]

Tenkichi is a Tenko.

[Thanks, Horō.]

[Don't worry; she figured it out. She's got you covered, Peter.]

She is a spirit-fox. She is approximately twenty-five pounds.

Tenko are very good at finding items, but she can only carry so much. I do not wish to overburden her.
