hey guys it's peter
just wanted to let you know that there's a new modification to the subs and jet skis
it's basically a harness/net attachment that you can use to carry more materials in instead of trying to cram everything into the seat next to you
or for whatever else you want to transport i guess

keep in mind the net for the subs will be larger than the ones for the skis
also try not to get any sea creatures caught in the net (which i don't think would happen since the weave isn't really big enough for anything to slip through but i could be wrong)
so just double check your stuff before unloading

i did some test runs of it on one of the seamoths so i'm like 99.99% sure it works
but if you run into any problems/have suggestions just lmk here
you can also find me in the tech lab or genetics lab
or idk just yell and i'll swing by
if you need to learn how to pilot a sub/jet ski i can also give you some tips

so yeah
i think that's it??
oh nice to meet you i guess if i haven't already
ok over and out

[ ooc: for reference, they look like a variation of these! ]
onethousen: (huh | water god ahoy)

[ SHE LOSES THE RACE but she wins because he's also there. it's nice when you stack odds so there's no really bad end result. so rare that it works out that way!

regardless, Chihiro comes sliding into the area, then literally slides across the area when she hits a patch of, you know. water. which is not uncommon here, but whoops there she goes —
]

Woah!

[ relatively unharmed as she crashes into whatever's stacked against the wall. hi peter... ]
onethousen: (curious | what am i looking at)

[ sudden direction changes and oof! peter is a much softer landing pad than the wall, for all she needs a moment to let her brain catch up with what just happened. then she's BAM on her feet and looking totally fine with the situation, even as she's giving him a curious look. ]

How'd you do that?

[ since clearly it was him, and uh. okay so she can't really watch him pull the webbing strands off but she sure is going to try ]
onethousen: (determined | close this door)

... A sticky one. [ she points out as he's pulling the rest of the silk off her. it's not that she minds the stickiness, but that's also not much of a secret. mostly it's just confusing, and almost derailing. if her focus on the subs weren't of greater relative importance, she'd probably get distracted.

alas, alack, today her focus is on giving his hand a look before she realises... what he's doing. OH. oh. she offers a tentative smile and takes his hand.

... and shakes it really enthusiastically. look, she's got this down. she is however also looking more serious as she shakes his hand. yeah. that smile has turned into full blown seriousness.
]

It's nice to meet you too, Peter-san.

[ ... please control this handshake peter ]
onethousen: (curious | peers out)

[ Peter it is, and man she's hoping not every handshake needs to be this intense, but who knows. That may be the world of handshakes. She never paid attention to how it was done on television...

She nods, bouncing up onto the balls of her feet.
]

I'm ready. What's the first thing I should keep in mind for all this? We don't have gas or anything... do we?
onethousen: (smile | going about my day)

Woah, like a really small one? I thought some submarines ran on stuff like that, but they're all way bigger, I think...

[ She doesn't understand the science behind these things, but she does recognise what he's talking about. Enough to understand that there isn't a need to worry about fossil fuels. Do they even have those here? Oil could be mined out of the oceans back home, but...

She moves on past him, slipping in through the hatch and looking around with wide eyes. She can feel a little claustrophobia settling in, but she shakes it off; not a true fear of hers, it's more a heightened awareness of going into an even more enclosed space. Her heartrate picks up, but she manages to keep her breathing evened out after a few seconds.
]

Woah. I've never seen anything like this before.

[ She scoots in further and starts to examine the paneling, carefully keeping her hands away from any and all buttons and levers. If there are any red buttons, she especially keeps away from those. ]
