INTO THE VOID
[A STUBBORN AND FOOLHARDY GROUP OF EXPLORERS FALL ASLEEP AND SWIM INTO A DEEP DARK OCEAN ABYSS
Thereβs no punchline thatβs actually what theyβre doing. ]
((you can go ahead and join in even if you didn't sign up for the mission in the planning post! read here for info and assume you got a brief background rundown. thereβs toplevels for different bits of the trip; go ahead and poke around wherever you want to be and jump each other freely!
if your character would ask a question or perform a particular important action at some point that isn't covered yet, please check with the mods directly at that comment for results!))

Perhaps not, however! I'm sorry if I'm incorrect in my assumption; I'm a bit rusty when it comes to my languages these days. [ compared to someone like ada, at least, who excelled in their linguistic classes. she had been alright at it but practice was needed andβ¦ wellβ¦
she couldn't do much of that since the incident. ]

You're right, it does! I mean, that's what it means, it's from the verb and everything... that's why I was thinking it might be good.
no subject
Maybe she can have two names?
no subject
[ It's polite to ask, not to assume, after all. ]
no subject
That's a good point. I hope she'll be fine with it. [ if not then eve understands. ]
no subject
She doesn't understand, I don't think, but she's okay with us using both names. Thank you! Now she has a whole big name we can use when we talk with her.
no subject
I must admit, I'm a little surprised to see you're coming along with us. [ realising how that could come across, she covers her mouth in embarrassment and tries to correct herself: ] I mean-! Because this isn't a typical mission. From my understanding at least.

But- That's a good skill for you to have while we're here. A lot is going on and Ada said the best we can do, if we're unsure of what to do, is to always keep our heads calm and be ready to pull back if⦠something occurs.
[ ada had a much more colourful way to describe that but eve is not repeating it around polite company. ]

[ Not here, swimming with Mamori-san, but once they reach the Dragon. ]

[ eve falls quiet after giving that, admittedly, cryptic answer. mostly because she's trying to figure out what else she can add to it that won't make it sound ominous or threatening. ] β¦ Either answers or trouble, is what I believe may happen.

[ It's what Chihiro pulls out of this, with her expression set but... okay with what she's heard. She knew it was going to be dangerous. She's not sure if she's super ready to face that, but she will regardless. ]
no subject
[ she nods in agreement, feeling emboldened.
seeing her steadfastness at the face of all this makes eve feel a bit braver. she'll never be bold as ada but she can try to be set in her own ways. ] And we need to help each other out as well. Make sure no one gets hurt or left behind.
no subject
No one will be left behind. We'll all work to make sure that stays true.
no subject
oh.
and just realising she hasn't introduced herself yet! ] I'm so sorry for my rudeness. I can't believe we've gotten this far into conversation without introducing myself.
I'm Eveline. Please feel free to call me 'Eve' though. It's much easier.
no subject
It's okay! I didn't either! It's nice to meet you, Eveline-san. Or Eve-san, if you'd prefer to be called Eve-san! I'm Chihiro.
no subject
Feel free to just call me Eve-san if that's appropriate. Almost no one calls me Eveline these days. Is there anyway I should address you?
no subject
[ She even flashes her a thumbs up. ]
It's what most people here call me anyway.
no subject
It's such a pleasure to meet you, Chihiro. I'm so glad we have the chance to meet one another and have some time to know the other person better. It's nice.
