[ rose puts on her most charming smile when she starts recording, beaming into the camera with bright eyes. ]
So, you know, a lot's been happening lately, and I don't know about you guys, but I've been thinking this place is missing something.
[ she puts a finger to her lips and lets a few seconds tick by to keep everyone in Suspense, as if this is some sort of huge and monumental idea. which it is. ]
Can someone tell me why there's no place a girl can get a mug of beer around here? Y'know, a bar? Doesn't anyone else miss alcohol? I know, I know, drink responsibly and all that, but... seriously, nothing? Plus, I'm sure at least one of us knows how to make a decent cocktail.
[ she shakes her head with an exasperated sigh. ]
There has to be some good stuff around here somewhere. I'm not picky. You think URSULA keeps a hidden stash?
[ URSULA, she hopes you can hear her. also, rose knows that the answer is an extremely probable no, but what's the harm in tossing the (still, very low, close to nonexistent low) possibility out there. ]
Everything is just... way too tense. Some of you could probably stand to lighten up a little. So since no one else has done it, I'm proposing the idea of a serious addition to the base.

so when did you end up here, then? i'm pretty new too. it's almost been a month, but it's still an adjustment. adjustment being a total understatement.

What kind of world do you come from?

anyway, there are these... i guess you could say they're sort of like elemental spirits? called seraphim. living, breathing people, but invisible to 99.9% of the population. might as well think of them as ghosts. you need a powerful resonance to have the ability to even interact with them. i'm one of those people. sorey and alisha are two others - coincidentally, she landed here around the same time i did. thanks to this pact we agreed to, sorey and i can kind of... well, fuse with those seraphim and use their power to handle that purification i mentioned.
wow, well, i think that's the shortest version i could possibly give you, and that was super long-winded enough. bottom line is, things aren't too great over there, and it's not an easy job. it's sort of kind of really important that we get back as soon as possible, considering the state things are in, but, well... you can guess how well finding a way out of here is working out for any of us.
it might sound crazy, i guess, but i've heard crazier around here.

trust me, it is. and nope. it's just me and sorey, along with help from the seraphim - water, fire, earth, and wind, to be specific. us against the world and all that. if we can't do it, then, well... everything's royally screwed, which might explain why getting back is so important.

We don't have seraphim or malevolence, just a lot of different kinds of sentient life. I'm Kryptonian, but I live on a planet full of humans. There's robots, too: they're machines, and how advanced they are depends on who made them.

so, what are kryptonians like? are they rare, too?

Cool trick! The seraphim can do it, too, but I've never seen a huma-- I mean, a Kryptonian do it.
[ well, she's never seen a kryptonian at all, but that's beside the point. rose can do stuff like that when she's fused with a seraph, too, but never so easily, and definitely not when she doesn't have cool elemental wind powers or whatever, so she really is impressed. ]
