[Although the month is drawing to a close, there's still plenty to do--such as clearing out the last few rabites, working on constructing portions of the new and improved base, sharing various information gleaned from the month's efforts, and make sure to have some downtime in between all of that. Getting a sun tan before fall fully sets in is important too!]

[ for a second, rose looks genuinely surprised. she wasn't expecting that, honestly, and whether sorey is geeking out or not... she has to admit it's a nice thing to here. ]

... Well, I guess there's no harm in giving it a shot. I'll humor you.

speaking of shots, she downs some more alchol before moving to peer over sorey's shoulder. ]

You never know, you might like it! Some of these books are pretty entertaining.

[The opening pages are amazing purple prose and setting the scene of a futuristic world with a vampire that is also an AI, and how they discover this human. Gasp.]

[ she expected her eyes to be glazing over by the first paragraph, but instead she's staring at the book like it's some sort of puzzle she needs to decipher. ]

This is just a little over the top, don't you think? I mean, a vampire and an AI? And a human? What's next? A werewolf?

I think there is a werewolf in the later chapters, judging from some of the foreshadowing early on.

[Clearly werewolves would only add to the intrigue in the story though.]

'Kay, so we've got a vampire, an AI, a human, and a potential werewolf. What else is it foreshadowing? I'm dying to know.

Aside from the set-up for the romance, there's not much else so far. It's hard enough keeping up with the setting they're laying out for us in the text, there's too many unfamiliar terms.

Unfamiliar terms? What, do trashy romance novels need their own dictionary or something?

It's set on another planet in an imagined future, so kind of, yeah.
