Feel free to ignore this until after the festivities, but since November starts tomorrow, I thought I'd ask what everyone is interested in including in the island base. Or what structures you would be interested in seeing around the island. So far all that we have planned to my knowledge are the watchtowers - the farm seems to be coming along and we should maybe consider fences or whatever there, but otherwise we don't actually have anything really set in stone.

You should feel free to throw anything out there, and to respond to anyone else. I'll just gradually be collecting the ideas from here and drawing up plans for you all, so long as what you're suggesting is actually within our power to do. But all things considered, I think most things are. This should also give everyone a chance to team up with anyone else who is doing something they wanted to do.

In terms of things I'm doing other than the watchtowers, an aboveground track and training area is something I was personally interested in. To start us off.

Um, yes? Lots of cat trees. Cat toys? Lots of fresh water too? I really don't know. Windows! I think cats like windows. Do we even need windows. How bad are the storms on the surface here going to be?

I'm not sure. I want to say the mountains? Are any of the lakes also near the mountain area? You could have really nice views if you were higher, I think. It'd be nice to have somewhere to stay, or even relax.

You're not the Gods I'm talking about, so I'll give it a pass. You can do one if you want; I'm not traumatized, it was just annoying and I've never seen the point of them.

Don't worry about the storms regarding windows. I'll use the same reinforcement and shuttering we're using down here now. So we can have as many as you'd like. Everything we're building will be able to take storms, because I'll make sure of it.

There are some lakes near the mountains, yes. I'll mark off an area for it. Since it's something you wanted, we can get together and talk about what else you'd like for it and I'll help you draw up plans, if you want.

Milkquest becomes more urgent than ever before. Now both pizza and boardwalk ice cream hang in the balance. [HE IS TAKING IT AS A REQUEST annabeth now gets an ice cream shop thing.]

Not as far as I'm aware. Sadly, veterinary science is one of those domains where my Renaissance Man persona falters to reveal the slipshod post-apocalyptic autodidacticism below. But I can program the nanites to neuter them if you can get me the necessary information about feline reproductive organs and neutering procedures. Roxy or Valentine might be able to handle that.
Jotaro did it for the Rabites, but he's one of our MIA.

I can actually get you that information, yes. Just give me a day to catch a cat and scan it. I don't mind having cats around, but we should maybe stop them from outnumbering us.

In which case we need to act fast because I think they're already sort of near that point.

This makes me think you've been in a 200 cats per human situation. I have to ask.

All right, thank you. It occurs to me we should probably either check them manually or get one of your robots to do it, re: their health. We're feeding them and everything, but none of us are exactly veterinarians. Don't they need shots and things?

To answer both questions at once, my friend Roxy had at least as many cats back home. I had my robots and seagulls.

You plan these things out so well. It's very admirable, Annabeth-san!

[ bless annabeth, because chihiro has no working architectural knowledge, and even her knowledge of onsens are mostly informed by one experience plus the media's instruction on What To Expect. paired with the indoor springs down where she is now, she can make some guesses, but this all makes her excited. she's under no illusions who's handling the difficult parts of planning. they're outside of chihiro's sphere of knowledge and reference, so it's welcome to be included at all.

Sure. I'm familiar with some of the styles, but I'll see if URSULA has anything extra for me to look at, too. Would you like a few Japanese-style rooms in the overland base, too?

It's not a problem. URSULA seems to have a lot of books in her repertoire, so asking for some stuff on Japanese architecture shouldn't put her out. I'll admit I have a weakness for Greek and Roman things, but I do like all architecture. It'd be fun to work with something else once in a while.

That sounds like a story so I won't ask further. Speaking of animal raising, it seems like someone's raising birdogs for eggs now. We should really find something we can milk.

yes, that would make me feel so much better. don't forget a giant tree that rises through all the layers of the base and will drive you insane if you aren't careful climbing it. and ravens, carrying notes.

If it's not too much trouble, could I ask for a part of the farm on the island to be sectioned off for herbs and spices?

[ Hotaru is very grateful for Dave and his farm, but she prefers plants and to plant in a more open field. She'd also like to ask for an area for a flower garden, but she thinks that's a little too inane to request. ]

[ meanwhile the truth is chihiro comes running along in her normal clothes (child change into your costume you're failing halloween), her own decorated bucket in hand with the collection of sugar-star candies inside. there are two rabites riding on her collar, tucked in close and holding on with their tiny paws. she looks for annabeth with bright eyes, breaking into a smile when she sees her. ]

That would be easy enough. Did you want anything else in terms of the farm? I don't handle the growing or whatever but it's easy enough to direct the boys who do.

It's not as important as the stuff you've been working on. I mean, it's not a problem yet? Plus you did all that stuff with the rabites, which was really helpful!
