Wouldn't the planet just look like a puddle of water at this point? How nearby is nearby?

It'll be helpful to see where landmasses are. And nearby enough that they will either see the planet and pass by it, or see the planet and decide to make a pit stop.

I don't think everyone knows that they are. This planet is apparently supposed to be a secret from the Kharaa so I think they were probably showing up by accident? That or they somehow found out about it, which wouldn't be a surprise considering.

It's a planet. The Mist would have to be really strong to cover an entire planet from being discovered. [Though it occurs to him:] If they're accidentally coming here, why can't we figure out how to get to them?

I know some people are making one but it'll be a lot more helpful if we could just find shit that's been already made? Since there is no way we're going to find everything, and I doubt whoever the fuck else made maps wouldn't have either, so we could combine them?

Makes enough sense to me. Next question though, where do we start looking? Their ships? There should be navigation data in their systems to get somewhere.

The ships are a start. If we find any bases that they set up it'll be even better since bases, even temporary ones, mean people were around long enough to get some shit done.
