[ Anyway so one day a bunch of nerds went camping and it went exactly like this the end.

To be more precise, close to the lake on Floater Island a nice lil camping spot has been made! There are a couple of tents next to a campfire. The campfire even have logs arranged around them for that authentic camping experience? You sit on the logs, obviously.

A large variety of snacks have been brought over! There are hot dogs that can be roasted over the fire (made out of... some... animal idk use your imagination). Most importantly, they have marshmallows and chocolate to make s'mores! Because that is the most important part of camping. Clearly.

Mingle with other crew members! Wander around Floater Island and pet birdogs! Tell scary stories by the campfire! Fall into a ditch somewhere and have to be carried back by your crush like a stereotypical shoujo heroine! etc etc have fun ]

[Hey he's dating Dirk it's a compliment. He does notice her thought train getting away from her. Maybe she wants a dog, too. Dirk could do it, though he hopes she asks when Dirk isn't already buried in projects.]

Oh you guys took a selfie? Sweet. Well, if you did want a dog like mine, I'm sure you could ask him. It was a gift but he's very kindhearted. He might not mind fixing you up with a canine companion of your very own.

She watches for Ben, anticipating his return - even if he doesn't show up right away, she's looking for him on the horizon.]

Oh! That's right, you've got a foxy friend, haven't you? How is she doing?

[He whistles into the jungle. Poor Ben must be dedicated to finding that ball.]

[She's starting to get a little embarrassed now. Well, it's probably embarrassment. It looks a little bit like embarrassment, though shame in Horō's countenance seems strange and foreign.]

A little homesick, I think. I believe I finally understand what that is like. I am sure she's out looking for treasure; she has quite the knack for it.

Homesick... Yeah, that can really wallop you good. [Not that he's speaking from experience. Obviously.] Poor thing. Maybe we can do something to cheer her up?

[Be finally comes trotting back with the ball in his mouth, a little dirtier but seeming very proud of himself now. No reason to be embarrassed when the dog is so happy?]

Ben! Hey boy, look at you! You're really pleased huh?

[He stops in front of Horō to give her the ball.]

[Her expression becomes more muted. What she learned during the nightmares came with its own prices, even if her sense of purpose and determination is more thoroughly kindled than ever.] Yes. Though in my case, I wish I could determine which home I was sick for. Then it would be easier to help Tenkichi.

[Her pensiveness is cut short by Ben's return. She kneels to meet the dog at eye-level.] For me? You are too kind, Ben. I believe the expression is, "Who's a good boy?" It is you.

[Ben cocks his head, panting and giving a proud little bark. Apparently he got the gist of her meaning? He's happy at least, wagging his tail. Jake leans down closer to the both of them.]

You're a natural dog person! [He doesn't want to get her back on the other topic but he's still curious. Is it tactless to...?] Um, you don't have to talk to me about it but, um, if you're unsure about the homesickness, I'll listen?

[She pats Ben on the head, pausing for a few minutes before looking back over her shoulder at Jake.]

You are considerate for offering.

I have regained some of my memories and remembered the reasons behind my mission. However, it feels unfair to you to dwell on it now, as it would not contribute to our camping endeavors, and I am unsure of its meaning to my existence here.

[Jake sits down on the ground.]

Well, I don't know heads from tails about camping but I do know what being a good friend means. It means whenever your friend has something rattling around, you should be there for them. So lay it on me! I want to help you.

[Taking his lead, Horō drops out of her kneel to sit. She balances on both knees, hands braced on her thighs.]

This is not the first time I've left one world behind for another. I was born to fulfill my primary function, but I failed. I had to leave my original world behind.
