[ Anyway so one day a bunch of nerds went camping and it went exactly like this the end.

To be more precise, close to the lake on Floater Island a nice lil camping spot has been made! There are a couple of tents next to a campfire. The campfire even have logs arranged around them for that authentic camping experience? You sit on the logs, obviously.

A large variety of snacks have been brought over! There are hot dogs that can be roasted over the fire (made out of... some... animal idk use your imagination). Most importantly, they have marshmallows and chocolate to make s'mores! Because that is the most important part of camping. Clearly.

Mingle with other crew members! Wander around Floater Island and pet birdogs! Tell scary stories by the campfire! Fall into a ditch somewhere and have to be carried back by your crush like a stereotypical shoujo heroine! etc etc have fun ]

In one way, it is. In another way, it isn't, but it's not awful either way.

I'm not tall. I can see some of the trees and plants. I'm thankful that this planet is home to so many bioluminscent things.

Something both comforting and not...yes, I suppose that's a useful paradox to describe such circumstances.

It is fascinating, isn't it? There is so much variety here.

It is. I don't know much about plant or sea life, but being on a new planet lets you learn and experience so many new things.

I hope it's the right incline. I don't think I fell that far... just unluckily.

I do not mind. This is an adventure. As long as you or others are not harmed, it was worth it. Or so I have been learning. Lately, I have been wondering if not all actions need a purpose to be meaningful.

[She peers over the top of the incline, hopefully not leaning far enough to trip and take her own spill. The ground shifts a little under her feet, and she frowns, shifting her stance before peering over again.]

Hello? [She shields her eyes. Has she found the right spot?]

There's enough meaning if you want to do something. Sometimes, just saying hi causes an impact. I think actions can serve a purpose even if it isn't what you meant.

[ There is no answer when Horo calls out.

Hotaru's message is true, of course. A greeting is the first step in any friendship. But there are more pressing concerns right now.]

I have found a second ditch. [Horō supplies the update semi-helpfully.] Perhaps we should issue a warning for ditches to prevent falls.

I am going to search for higher ground.

[ A second ditch? Uh oh. ]

Maybe we can set up signs or a light display so no one can miss it even if they're not paying attention.

Okay. I'll start throwing rocks up and out of the ditch. Hopefully, you can see them even in the dark.

[ Every few minutes, Hotaru does just as she says and throws rocks out of the ditch. ]

That would be wise. If I were to fall in as well, I would be unable to rescue you.

I hope the foundation of this island isn't crumbling away. Please do not run out of rocks.

[That morbid aside out of the way, she continues her search.

It's a good thing Hotaru's a small, somewhat fragile young girl. Otherwise, Horō might risk getting hit in the face by one of the stones, instead of the much more likely shin or kneecap.]

If we have to, we can yell for Kon. He has super hearing, and he can fly, but... I don't want to trouble him if he's busy right now.

I think if the island is crumbling, Korra can fix it. She helped make the island base. I hope I don't run out of rocks, too. I'll figure out something else, if I do.

[ Her healing emits light, but she can't heal without something to heal. So if worse comes to worst.... ]
