[Wowee! We get hit with a pulse on the seventh! Isn't that fun! Also, a ship crashed, and baby it's cold inside. Some prompts.

A: Pulse: A pulse hit the planet! Life support went out, and that super sucks, but it will only last for an hour. Maybe more sucky: some or all of your powers may or may not have died! That's awkward. Are you disappointed you can't walk through walls now? Has nothing changed for you? Are you now a dead girl because you made a deal some aliens? Are you a sword? Have fun kids, and try not to hold a Class Trial.

B: Salvage: That sure was a ship that went down! URSULA identified it as the Narcissus which is apparently a human military ship so obviously this will be safe and no one is going to come across any type of trouble salvaging the ship. Maybe someone should text Naoko to tell her what's going on. Everything is fine.

C: Blanket-sharing meme: You know what you're here for.

D: ETC: Roxy is putting up mistletoe, there are flowers, people keep building stupid things. Do whatever!]

Can you cross dimensions at will? [he just asks finally, the quirk to his lips suggesting that Hinata, at least, is of the opinion that no, no he can't.] Just tear open space and time and throw us all back where we came from?

[Kon settles a little deeper into his spot and sighs. He knows where Hinata is going with this but still. He knows he can't and that's part of the problem.]

Y'know I have before? Crossed dimensions I mean. Went to a bunch of 'em with this weird dimension-hopping jacket a few other heroes rigged up. [Which is sort of the thing he's getting at.] Cause there are people from my world who can do shit like that. Hell, Superman wouldn't have to, he could just fly straight into space and right up the Green Lantern Corp or whatever. They're way stronger an' smarter than me.

Just sucks everyone here got stuck with the knock-off hybrid loser instead of any of them.

The same could be said for any of us, then, [he points out without losing that mild, barely-there smile.] Not saying we might not be better off if we had those people you mentioned here, but...

[He spreads his hands as if physically offering a point.]

This is who we do have. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses. Instead of worrying about what other people can do, maybe we should just try to focus on what we're capable of. You know? What you can do instead of worrying about what maybe you think you should be able to do.

Yeah, yeah, you just gotta be one of those rational guys, don't you? [Hinata is right. Kon isn't Superman and maybe he never will be, but sitting around moping about it isn't gonna help anyone. Doesn't mean he doesn't still feel guilty about not being better. It does mean he's gotta cut out this dwelling on it already.

He's silent for a moment and then looks up, searching out Hinata's eyes.]
