[Wowee! We get hit with a pulse on the seventh! Isn't that fun! Also, a ship crashed, and baby it's cold inside. Some prompts.

A: Pulse: A pulse hit the planet! Life support went out, and that super sucks, but it will only last for an hour. Maybe more sucky: some or all of your powers may or may not have died! That's awkward. Are you disappointed you can't walk through walls now? Has nothing changed for you? Are you now a dead girl because you made a deal some aliens? Are you a sword? Have fun kids, and try not to hold a Class Trial.

B: Salvage: That sure was a ship that went down! URSULA identified it as the Narcissus which is apparently a human military ship so obviously this will be safe and no one is going to come across any type of trouble salvaging the ship. Maybe someone should text Naoko to tell her what's going on. Everything is fine.

C: Blanket-sharing meme: You know what you're here for.

D: ETC: Roxy is putting up mistletoe, there are flowers, people keep building stupid things. Do whatever!]

[ She thinks for a moment, and she hesitates before bringing this up. ]

But... I was talking to some of the Reefbacks and the Angel Wings when dreaming, and they talked about how powerful the planet can be, so... I wonder if... it could be that?

Do you think it could be waking up? Did they say anything about that?

[ Her brows knit together. She didn't mean to make him worry more. ]

No-- I mean, they talked to me about what could happen when the planet goes to sleep and when it wakes up, but I got different stories. The Reefbacks said everything died when the planet went to sleep, and the Angel Wings told me that everything would die if the planet woke up. The Reefbacks mentioned that the planet was at its worse when all the Emperors and Dragons started disappearing.

But they didn't say if they thought the planet was ready to wake.

It was the Dragon that mentioned 'everything waking up,' -- it just didn't say when. It's kind of alarming to hear that different species on the planet have different lore around that topic, actually -- the way everything's so interlinked here it seems like it should be more consistent. Could that be part of the reason for the planet's indecision, or a -- a symptom of it, instead?

If I had to choose, I'd choose to go with what the Reefbacks say over the Angel Wings because they seemed more sincere. The Angel Wings are more concerned with the now and said they didn't care about their history much, so I don't know how much they can be trusted as a source.

But your theory also makes sense, and it makes me wonder... if it's the planet's doing... if our memories have been affected after arriving here, the sea life's memories could be, too?

...I never thought of that. Of course they could be, though. If something could do it to us, and could remove creatures like the Dragon and Emperor from these oceans even temporarily -- of course it's a possibility.

[ It has never been so clear to Hotaru that she's bad at comforting when she's thinking seriously. She hesitates before she reaches over to lightly touch Mikleo's hand. She's just used to hearing Mikleo be so supportive and so strong that it doesn't occur to her right away that he, too, is not impervious. ]

But we're working on recovering what's right, what the truth is, and I think that's powerful, too. We aren't going to sit around and just let it happen to us if we can, right?

[ Oh, did she do something right? She's always the one being comforted, so if she can make someone, especially someone she cares about, feel at least a little better, it makes her happy. Is that selfish?
