12/20 an intro

a. a graceful landing

[ if you are outside at the base island today, you might see something unusual. well, more unusual than normal? this place is weird. but up in the sky, you will see one redheaded teenager and a troll with robot legs just... flying on an anti-tank rifle, following one of URSULA's drones. they seem to both just be chatting, not paying any real attention

which is their downfall because it means that the girl (izetta) does not notice when she steers them right into a goddamn tree. they both die the end. no, they just both fall off the rifle and crash onto the ground. at least they weren't that high up! care to go check on them? ]

b. you saw nothing

[ if you were not around to witness tavros and izetta eat dirt, then you can catch them both wandering around the base, clearly new as they don't seem to know where they are going.

izetta is carrying her rifle and tavros for some reason has a hole in his shirt where his chest is and it also seems to be (bronze) bloodstained? how weird! maybe he hit that tree really hard. anyway, feel free to help them out, they are dumb teens. ]

[ it is a SHOCKING TRAP that literally just adds tavros to the door codes after dave motions for him to lift his hand and does his own access thing. so apparently dave is not out to get him. YET. or ever because that sounds like #effort???

behind the door is a short hall that leads to an observatory. most of the observatory is taken up at the center with an aquarium in which the magister and three rabbitrays live. dave immediately goes to the tank to gently fistbump the glass, and the magister happily returns the gesture so this is probably #normal.

the room otherwise has four beds built into the walls at equal intervals, some shelves of dead preserved things, turntables, and three doors leading to private rooms (only one of which can be opened, as it is empty) and one other hallway door leading away. ]

That's Karkat's room, that's Jake's, but the rest of us sleep in the beds or elsewhere. Kanaya was back down the hall a ways; that room's empty so you could have it if you want, or take one of the communal rooms or a private room in a different observatory. Also, that's the Magister, Lady Gaga, Milady Rhianna, and Master Frigglish.

[ Woah yes Dave sorry you're no longer the most interesting thing the room. The space of obviously Cool but the animals catch his attention immediately. He lays a hand gently against the glass, admiring them and noting the magister.

Something something pick a room something something plenty of space but weird animals come first. ]

[ honestly that's fine the magister is dave's CHILD he is always down for people being impressed. he'll just come to a stop by tavros, sticking his hands in his back pockets. ]

The Magister's a Cute Fish - actual species name, not just a description - and the other three are Rabbitrays.

[ dave hums a snatch of the Song and the Magister picks up the tune and sings it back. ]

Everything that swims can sing, more or less. That Song, and another one, which is a lot less friendly. I'll teach you it later, if you want.

[ Fantastic. He's -- he's all for this, yes. He smiles a little. ]

I never really, got to see much aquatic life, back on Alternia before, uh, it exploded, badly.

Yeah our planets kinda didn't do so hot eventually. Well, if you want to like...get an underwater tour or somethin' at some point, feel free to hit me up? I actually am friends with lots of aquatic life. Somehow. I think mostly because everythin' here likes singin' and I don't mind singin' back.

I'm not, uh... a seadweller so, I don't really know, how well that would go. But I would love to, if, there was a possibility of going and not, drowning, or, having my legs break down due to, them being robotic in nature.

Well, we have like...breathing stuff for underwater. But re: your legs, you could ask Dirk to do something to make them like. Seaworthy.

You think so? And, oh! That sounds, really useful. The first thing, but, both of them would be useful, really. Since, there seems to be a lot of water, and, not a lot of, anything else.

Yeah, for sure. He's always willin' to help out, pretty much, but you also have the added bonus of bein' "ours" from back home, so he'd probs be even more so?
