12/20 an intro

a. a graceful landing

[ if you are outside at the base island today, you might see something unusual. well, more unusual than normal? this place is weird. but up in the sky, you will see one redheaded teenager and a troll with robot legs just... flying on an anti-tank rifle, following one of URSULA's drones. they seem to both just be chatting, not paying any real attention

which is their downfall because it means that the girl (izetta) does not notice when she steers them right into a goddamn tree. they both die the end. no, they just both fall off the rifle and crash onto the ground. at least they weren't that high up! care to go check on them? ]

b. you saw nothing

[ if you were not around to witness tavros and izetta eat dirt, then you can catch them both wandering around the base, clearly new as they don't seem to know where they are going.

izetta is carrying her rifle and tavros for some reason has a hole in his shirt where his chest is and it also seems to be (bronze) bloodstained? how weird! maybe he hit that tree really hard. anyway, feel free to help them out, they are dumb teens. ]

[ izetta does not call people out very often but tavros seems to not want to talk about the hole in his shirt so izetta won't let people talk shit about it?? ]

It's, uh, okay. I'm sure that, they meant it in a friendly way, and not, in any sort of antagonizing manner...

Oh I'm sorry....

[He hadn't meant to be rude but th3n casually being rude was something he sort of did, all the time....]

But... I thought maybe knowing where the laundry room might be wanted....

[ she bows. ]

It's alright. You were just looking out for someone.

[Though she didn't seem mad anymore he wondered if he was still unlucky and should have stayed in his room.]

My name is Komaeda Nagito. Since we haven't had introductions yet.

[riflew]

I'm [ a short pause, like she's internally debating this ] Izetta. It's good to meet you!

[ she is a little hesitant to give out her name to strangers since she still isn't too?? sure about this place?? it could be enemy territory for all she knows, but no one has attempted to murder her yet. ]

[despairing_hope]

It must be a little strange to suddenly find yourself here, but, it's not so bad!

There are definitely worse places to wake up in. There hasn't been a murder or anything yet!

[riflew]

That's... good? Why are you expecting a murder?

[ like it is good news?? izetta is used to death and all, but the way he worded that was a little. weird? ]

[despairing_hope]

Oh I'm not. Simply that none has happened, which is quite nice considering our circumstances.

[riflew]

Can you explain those to me in more detail?

[despairing_hope]

Well a lot of strangers, and small separate groups are stuck on an alien world and have to live together in close quarters.

[riflew]

[ she just... covers her face....

it still sounds terrible the second time she's heard it ha ha ha.... ]

[despairing_hope]

But! I think we all get along rather well. There's a lot of amazing things people have made too!

[riflew]

[ she immediately looks right back up at him. ]

This whole place is amazing! I've never seen anything like it before.

[despairing_hope]

It is! It's very science fiction, isn't it? And this is only the base. The world is rather amazing as well, if you like the ocean at least.

[riflew]

I don't really mind the ocean, but...

[ izetta shifts the weight of her rifle, frowning slightly. ]

How long have you been here?

[despairing_hope]

I've been here about... four months? I haven't really been keeping track.

[riflew]

I can't stay here for four months!

[ just one month is pushing it? she looks a little frantic now. ]

[despairing_hope]

Oh, well... there's not much that can be done. And others have been here for six or more.

Ah! But, I don't think time is very important, so, if there's something you have to get back to... it's probably fine.

[riflew]

Can you explain that further?

[ she looks a little sheepish after blurting that out. ]

I-I'm sorry! i just... there's something very important I was doing before I came here, so I just... need to make sure it's fine...

[despairing_hope]

Oh you don't have to be sorry, I understand having things that need to be done. But... I'm sorry about not really being able to leave.

[riflew]

[ izetta starts to tear up. ]

This is awful...

[despairing_hope]

Oh please don't be upset. Um... I think it should be alright. Sometimes people.... catch up on things that happen from their homes, and it's like they never left.

[riflew]

So they won't notice I'm gone?

[ "catch up on things that happen" does not make much sense to her, but she thinks that is... what komaeda is trying to tell her?? ]

[despairing_hope]

That's my theory at least, based on the things people can remember. For example, there used to be a classmate of mine here who only knew up to certain events before coming here, however I remember her being around after. Another classmate of mine was also behind me, but now is ahead of me on what has happened back home.
