The final note was with regards to the possibility that the assholes who caused these aliens to come after us quite possibly is, in fact, us,
Whether from exploring the wrong place or hitting the wrong button or broadcasting telepathically to the wrong squid or something.
Maybe all the rapping caused this.
Maybe they're coming here to kill our sick beats before we infect any more of the life here with them.
Either way, whether or not things go badly, this bullshit is probably on us.

have we tried messages in the whatever language the files at the underwater base were in
its my experience that sometimes you have to learn a new language or whatever
to make progress

As it is I don't know how much of it I could even pick out yet.
If we could figure the words for 'Stop' or 'Turn off' or 'Come on, you lousy computer' we might be able to trigger deactivation or standby mode.
Assuming they are, in fact, the organic drones I'm assuming they are.
