August Pre-Hurricane Post | Open Mingle

[It's the calm before the storm—or at least the not-quite-so-bad-weather before the storm. The winds are starting to pick up, the ocean is rolling, and all manner of sea creature is heading for cover to ride things out.

Especially considering how it explains, in detail, how blackrom is supposed to work. Even after reading it, he's more confused than ever. Fortunately he can see he's not the only one who got this, so while Karkat's putting one up on the wall, Hajime corners him.]

Like I said in my very helpful and simplified explanation, you don't have to actually hate someone for them to be your kismesis. It could just be annoyance, as long as there is attraction there. The position of an auspistice is, admittedly, a very difficult thing to maintain which is why it's hard to find someone who completely excels at it. More often than not, the person ends up burning out. But they typically don't seek any real benefit from it other than making sure an ugly situation doesn't turn up. Trust me, I personally know of a few relationships that may have ended a lot differently if there was a third party involved.

[ his tone is kind of similar to a teacher explaining a simple concept to a first grader. sorry, hinata. ] Also you're already a part of it. You humans already partake in this system all the fucking time, you just don't know the proper term for it so you only put all the focus on flushed feelings.

That's just because it's a new concept to you. Once you actually sit on the idea for a while it will definitely make a lot more sense to you, trust me.
