[It's the calm before the storm—or at least the not-quite-so-bad-weather before the storm. The winds are starting to pick up, the ocean is rolling, and all manner of sea creature is heading for cover to ride things out.

There shouldn't be any, right? Didn't URSULA make some sort of immunization booster or whatever the fuck the technical term is?

[ not like karkat has a lot of faith in the ai. although his mistrust has less to do with logic and more just him being petty. ]

[ karkat is somewhat torn here because on one hand, he would rather not be examined? that sounds like the opposite of what he'd like to happen.

on the other... karkat has horrible luck and he is surprised that nothing has attempted to kill him since he arrived here. so, it would be nice to know if the physicians here actually know what they're doing in terms of trolls. ]

You are a.. troll, yes? Can you tell me, to your knowledge, on what points your species differ from humans?

[ karkat follows along, although the further they go the more he is going to begin to second guess this decision. ]

Blood mechanics, physiology, the internal workings.

[ The ones he's concerned about. To him, Karkat is just another person, albeit with a palette swap. ]

well, he's mentioned the whole blood thing to other people on base before. it just seems a little different to bring it up with an actual doctor? huh. ]

To be honest I have no idea what the fuck the internal workings of a human is like so it's hard to compare. We have different blood colors though and that determines our lifespan and other things like powers.

Tell me about yours. Have you had any previous experience with human medicine? Most of the antidotes are developed with human systems in mind. I can heal injuries regardless of species, but illnesses are out of my magical field.

Not really? I've never really gotten sick since I've started dealing with humans.

[ and in all honesty, troll society doesn't really seem like the type to care about tending to its sick and injured? so they probably didn't really spend too much time on healing the sick. ]

Then you will have to accept the risk that comes with it. There is not much I can theorize if there is no information.
