[It's the calm before the storm—or at least the not-quite-so-bad-weather before the storm. The winds are starting to pick up, the ocean is rolling, and all manner of sea creature is heading for cover to ride things out.

First you need to know what we're making. Any idea from the ingredients we pulled aside?

[ he'll motion towards the canned food and other foods like vegetables they pulled aside for the meal. first lesson of the day! ]

[ really sorey is types of stew all you can think of no wonder mikleo goes on and on ]

I can't think of anything better than that under pressure!

[His sigh is equal levels of dramatic and rueful, but he does seem eager to learn.]

Heh. Well, it's an easy recipe. So it'll do.

What's the fun in that? I'd like to see how long it'll take you to figure out what it could be.

[But since Yuri is so straightforward about it he isn't even offended. He gives it one last shot at a guess.]

It still seems like a stew to me, but you could also make a stir fry with all of this.

Stir fry, huh? Not bad. That was actually part of the plan.

Now you get to choose what we make with the stir fry.

You mean with the vegetables? Fish is always good.

Fish? Guess since we've had variety lately it actually sounds mildly appetizing.

Alright. Go grab some fish.

It's not that bad, at least they all taste different.

[He digs the one that tastes like spicy salmon out of a freezer, though.]

[ yuri watches him and... does he really want that fish for dinner um ]

Is that really the fish you want to make this stir fry with?

[ think really hard about this sorey ]

Why not? It's got a good flavor. It'd probably go good with the rest of the dish.

[he sees nothing wrong with this]

[vigilantims]

Only if you're careful. Put too much fish into the dish and it's spicy flavour will overwhelm everything else.

[ so are you willing to take that risk sorey ]

Then we'll just put a little bit in! Problem solved.

[Or they can feed it to someone who likes spicy food. There's no losing here.]

Fine. But you're the one deciding how much to put in.

No problem.

[He feels UP TO THE CHALLENGE! And he does carefully consider it, judging the ingredients before putting aside a little less than half as much fish for the meal compared to the other ingredients.]

[ yuri watches sorey and he considers the judges his ingredients. the amount of fish he put aside actually looks like a decent balance. ]

Heh. Not bad. Anything else you think the dish is gonna need?

[ there isn't anything really especially if the flavour will be coming from the fish. you don't want to put too much extra flavour alongside it.

Simpler is probably better this time around, so I don't think so. This seems like plenty.

[he's fairly confident in his answer, but he's second-guessing himself since yuri asked.]

[ he asked to see if sorey would take the bait. he didn't, so that's a good thing.

now they can get to the actual cooking. ]

Know where to begin?

[imsorey]

Well, you pretty much throw all of the ingredients into a pan and cook them. So it just depends on if you want to cook them separately and then add them into the same pan, or cook it altogether.

Personally I'd go with chopping everything into their proper amounts. But if you just wanna throw them in there like they are that's your call.

[ though he's not gonna eat it if you do sorey. not that he thinks that's what you're gonna do he's just being difficult ]
