[ Kara has cleared out a landing site just outside the area of the ship Mimi was camped in. Each member of the party has been given a rough map marking the more thickly forested areas, contours marked for hills, and an arrow in the water indicating the general direction back to the underwater base. There are Xs for where the old shipwreck emerges through the green, but only those visible from the air, if you're on foot you're on your own. In Kon's handwriting, the maps are all labelled Amity Island in block letters. The wildlife is friendly unless provoked; we can't vouch for the plants. ]

[ The body itself is in a sturdy wood coffin resting on a bed of freshly dug earth, the lid can be easily pushed off. Time to get cracking. ]

[Kanaya pauses in her reading to look at Kara with a satisfied smirk.]

Actually, I think I have.

[Kanaya puts the data pad she is reading down and picks up one of the ones that mentions Carar. She hands it Kara as she explains.]

While any hint of what was being researched is cryptic at best, I've found several mentions about not being able to find Carar or locate signs of it. I have not been able to discern what Carar is, but they seem rather intent on finding it, as it is repeated several times to stay vigilant.

[Kanaya picks up another data pad and hands that to her as well.]

I think that Mimi knew ISHMAEL very well, as several entries mention him. She apparently knew him since childhood.

[Kanaya picks up the data pad she was reading again and gives it an amused look]

This data pad recounts a dream Mimi had about vampires. I do not believe that it is relevant to our situation, but I will say that it would make an excellent vampire romance novel.

[Kanaya then gives Kara a serious look]

Have you seen the burnt area yet? The stench of raspberries and acid is hard to mistake. I investigated it earlier and found some rather troubling findings. Said findings being that raspberries and acid is what dark matter engine fuel apparently smells like.
