[ Kara has cleared out a landing site just outside the area of the ship Mimi was camped in. Each member of the party has been given a rough map marking the more thickly forested areas, contours marked for hills, and an arrow in the water indicating the general direction back to the underwater base. There are Xs for where the old shipwreck emerges through the green, but only those visible from the air, if you're on foot you're on your own. In Kon's handwriting, the maps are all labelled Amity Island in block letters. The wildlife is friendly unless provoked; we can't vouch for the plants. ]

[ The body itself is in a sturdy wood coffin resting on a bed of freshly dug earth, the lid can be easily pushed off. Time to get cracking. ]

My hypothesis is that Mimi was here to find this 'Carar' that is mentioned several times in the data pads. It appears to be something that a significant amount of effort was being put towards, but with no results. I am unsure as to what 'Carar' is exactly, but it is the most logical explanation for me.

[It bugs her that they have such little information to go off of, but she'll just have to make do.]

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Whoever - or whatever - 'Carar' is, Mimi was really bothered that they couldn't be found. It's all over the notes.

I've thought about 'Carar' being the alien guy... but there's no evidence one way or the other. [And it's honestly really annoying that there isn't.]

Think URSULA might recognize the name 'Carar'?

The lack of evidence is honestly quite vexing.

[She pauses at the suggestion to ask Ursula. She resists the urge to facepalm for not thinking of it herself. That probably should have been obvious.]

That... is actually an excellent question. We should probably contact her about it as soon as possible.

Several others pointed out we'd do our best work figuring out what we can here, but I've got a list of questions I need to ask URSULA when we get back. Who "Carar" might be, whether she recognizes those alien footprints, anything else she can tell us about Mimi...

Argh, I really wish we got signals this far out. [Definitely already thinking of ways to maybe solve this problem in the future.]

That is definitely a problem that needs to be addressed in the future if we plan to explore any further beyond this island.
