[This is the first time Komeada has used the network to broadcast anything himself. He's smiling, though that's pretty typical for him, but there's a slight awkwardness to it.]

It would seem that by happenstance I've become a father.

[He sighs deeply, it is a rather purposeful sigh.]

I'm at a bit of a loss of what to do now though. I've been trying to look up information on how to go about it but the recourses are a bit lacking.

Biology was never really something I looked too deeply into. It seems a bit unlucky to be burdened by this so suddenly.

[He brightens at the next part though.]

However, I guess it is a rather lucky encounter to be bestowed a life to nurture!

Even though I was assaulted and insulted in the process.

[He sighs again, this one more genuine.]

Now I feel rather tired. So... yes, if someone could please help me, I don't really have enough stamina left to try and figure this out right now.

[And he does look rather drawn and tired. Paler than usual.]

[ That's when Undyne makes her grand appearance in the video feed, but not before setting off any number of crashes and explosions in the background? Did half the base just go up in flames? Sure sounds like it, but that's hardly important. Anyway... ]

What's up, buttmunches?! I'm a MOM now and if any of you losers even THINK about coming near MY egg-- [ She will fight Komaeda for it for custody!! Except not really. She'll share, just very badly, because that's Undyne. BUT EVERYONE ELSE STAY AWAY. ] --I'll make you regret it!

SO STAY AWAY FROM MY EGG!

[ A beat, and then: ] Oh! And uh... stay outta the Void, okay? It's too dangerous out there for you nerds.

Of course it will be safe. Is there a reason not to trust anyone? Especially those who probably know how to take care of it better than we do.

[undyning]

[ Undyne has trust issues where humans are concerned. Force of habit when you grow up hating and resenting and wanting to kill them. She's trying her best to be the reformed villain here, after spending most of her life thinking she was actually the hero... it's complicated. Either way, she knows she has to be a bit more trusting. It's just tough and she's doing her best, ok. ]

... Alright. Fine! Have it your way.

[ She grins. ] But if anything happens to it, then I'm holding YOU personally responsible! You better HOPE nothing happens to it!!

I'm sure nothing will. It would be in my worst interest if something did, so... it definitely won't get hurt!

[Although he was quite positive in his belief, his reasoning was a bit frightening.]

And I'll definitely check up on it. This is a bright hope that needs to be nurtured until it can be born.

[undyning]

[ The tol fish monster crosses her arms and narrows her eye at him. All this talk of "hope" and whatnot... she's all about making peoples' HOPES and DREAMS come true and all as an idealist who doesn't know when to quit, but even he seems a bit obsessed. ]

So you keep saying. Keh! What are your intentions for this thing when it hatches, anyway? You keep going on and on about "hope" this, "hope" that... where was that hope of yours when I was fighting those creatures? I couldn't beat them at all... do you know how humiliating that is!!!

Intentions? I suppose to see what happens, since it's suppose to be true hope for this place.

[He was going to take it literally.]

What did you want me to do? I can't fight. And, it gave me a chance to get closer. In the end we were incredibly lucky and survived!

[undyning]

[ She desperately does not want to admit he's right... but he is. They're super lucky they made it out of there in one piece. Really, she's just glad she was able to get Komaeda out of there safely. As much as the guy weirds her out, she doesn't want anything bad to happen to him. Not until he's done something worth being punished for, anyway. Justice and all that. ]

Pfeh! Guess it couldn't have been helped... you're right. Well, we'll just have to try harder next time!

[ undyne the unbelievably stupid ]

I really hope for there not to be a next time.

[He was lucky, and he believed in his luck, but he wasn't going to tempt fate again like that.]

I don't have it in me for something like that.

[undyning]

[ Undyne was afraid of that. Oh well, she would never force anyone into something like that unless their heart was in it... guess she should probably take a break from her Moby Dick chase. The egg is more important now, anyway. ]

Alright, alright, I won't take you with me next time I go then.

[ But she IS going, make no mistake about that. She doesn't care if she dies. ]

Sorry about that. It really is too strenuous for someone like me.

[He chuckled lightly, hands in front of his face.]

Whatever! If there weren't weaklings like you around here to protect, there'd be no use for monsters like me.

[ Shrugging, the captain crosses her arms as she contemplates the egg; now she has one more person to protect. Looks like she has her work cut out for her. Not only is she responsible for a baby now, but there's still the issue of the dragon itself... she has no idea how she's going to protect everyone at this rate. She's not strong enough, and she has no idea how she's going to get stronger so she can beat that thing before it kills them all! ]

Dammit... [ She curses, claws digging into her forearm. This is so frustrating!! ]

I wouldn't say I need protection... and I'm not sure how I feel by being called a weakling like that.

[Even if he couldn't argue it, it felt odd to be talked about that way. Despite everything he still had a little pride, it might be hard to see through all the trash talk but it was still there.]

You shouldn't let yourself get so frustrated, today was a good day, it came out very lucky!
