So in non-radiation-leaking news…[There’s a slight pause and then the splashing of water like Percy’s still in the ocean.] Staying away from the Kharaa sounded like a great idea and I might have found something else.

The place where the water flows below. I think I found it. [And for anyone who wasn’t part of the Grand Reef exploration:] When we went to explore the Grand Reef some of the fish kept mentioning something that attacked the Degasi crew and that one of them might’ve sunk to the water that flows below. Problem is I don’t know if that means one of the crew members or one of whatever attacked them.

Anyway, I’m going back. I didn’t get far enough to really explore down there but there’s a bunch of caves and waterfalls that need to be checked out. [A beat.] Annnd some other stuff.

[That’s not ominous at all.] The tunnels should be big enough to get a submarine down there if anybody wants to come with me. [And suddenly he seems a little more commanding.] I don’t know what we’re going to find down there but if you think you can hold your own, let me know. I want to go back soon.

Less bulky than being in a submarine. [He can probably ride the sub for the bulk of the trip and then take a smaller rebreather instead though, since Percy does have a point.]

No, I mean I'm not as fast swimming as I am flying, but I'm still way faster than a human. Everything else works the same.

Good point. The trip to the dunes isn't too bad and getting under the dunes might be a little harder but we'll figure it out.

[He nods even if Kon can't see him.] Some of my friends can't use their powers as well underwater because it's too dangerous. We'll need speed just in case.

Yeah, and anyway, no way you should be out there on your own if something might attack. Not that you can't handle it, but we don't know what we're dealing with here.

[Kon guesses that makes sense for some kinds of powers but it's not the sort of thing that would change anything for him.] So when do you think we'll be heading out?

I do know that one of the things we're dealing with is an eel, but he's not a problem if you know how to dodge. [Judging by his tone, it's safe to say Percy definitely dodged and just wasn't thrilled about it.] Everything else is a mystery. We should maybe bring supplies in case we get stuck, too.

I'm thinking tomorrow or the next day. Give everybody time to get ready and stuff.

Alright, I'll grab some things to put together. How many people are we looking at?

Anywhere between five and twelve...? I have some people I want to ask myself, but enough for sizable teams. Why?

Just wanted to get an idea. [And because he's taking it as his personal responsibility to make sure none of them get hurt. Despite his past failures, it's what a superhero's supposed to do after all.]

[They're similar that way, really. Despite Percy willingly leading everybody into something big like this, he's more aware of who's going and where their strengths and weaknesses lie. Without Reyna here anymore...well, it's important for him to be a better leader anyway. It's worked out for him so far being a little more organized.]
