So in non-radiation-leaking news…[There’s a slight pause and then the splashing of water like Percy’s still in the ocean.] Staying away from the Kharaa sounded like a great idea and I might have found something else.
The place where the water flows below. I think I found it. [And for anyone who wasn’t part of the Grand Reef exploration:] When we went to explore the Grand Reef some of the fish kept mentioning something that attacked the Degasi crew and that one of them might’ve sunk to the water that flows below. Problem is I don’t know if that means one of the crew members or one of whatever attacked them.
Anyway, I’m going back. I didn’t get far enough to really explore down there but there’s a bunch of caves and waterfalls that need to be checked out. [A beat.] Annnd some other stuff.
[That’s not ominous at all.] The tunnels should be big enough to get a submarine down there if anybody wants to come with me. [And suddenly he seems a little more commanding.] I don’t know what we’re going to find down there but if you think you can hold your own, let me know. I want to go back soon.

If that's in another place under the dunes where the water flows below it might be close to the river source. [He's mumbling a little, thinking this through.] We could use you on the trip. You and I have traveled before, I know you can take care of yourself out there. [He'll just be keeping an eye on her anyway because...swordfish.]

[but in answer to his question:]
There was a strange sensation from the skeleton. It would not be categorized as evil, yet I felt a level of disquiet within it.
[like a song half turned to a different key.]
Despite that, the area was so saturated with energy that there is a 38% chance that even those lacking a sensitivity to the case may feel something different about the location.

[There's a long pause as he thinks though because that seems very strange to him to hear about. He can understand that feeling well enough. It's a feeling that something's off even if you can't pinpoint what or why. He's had several of those moments himself.]
38% is better than 37%. [It's a bad joke, but he perks up a little in thought.] A few of the crew members I'm bringing along are used to this kind of thing. Maybe if we have a bunch of people together with spiritual sensitivity we can find out more about what that thing is and more about the area.
Did you go alone?

[only later had she encountered the others through her dancing. but where she had gone, there had been none but sea life. truly dreamlike, even though on some level it was reality. dreaming within her dream.]

[she hadn't chosen the pulse affecting her that strongly. the question was, what if it happened again?]

Fi, what happened to you when that surge went through the base? [He knows what happened to him. That didn't go so well.]
no subject
According to the information I have gathered, the pulse sent me into the form of my vessel, and put me to sleep deeply enough that I was in the dreamscape for two days.

You were a sword for two days but you were conscious in the dreamscape. I think a few people felt something similar. [That doesn't make it better. And because it's Fi...] Whatever that pulse was changed something about all of us. I almost drowned out there.
[The son of Poseidon shouldn't drown in normal ocean water and he was just starting to get over his fear of suffocation, gods. Hearing the different effects from the pulse really isn't settling, but maybe they can find more answers.]

[if he's drowning, and she's unaware of the outside world, it feels like that might be the answer, even though they were not the Khaara ship.]
no subject
[That's something.] But we also can't say that the ship caused the pulse or if the pulse caused the ship to crash, can we?
