So in non-radiation-leaking news…[There’s a slight pause and then the splashing of water like Percy’s still in the ocean.] Staying away from the Kharaa sounded like a great idea and I might have found something else.
The place where the water flows below. I think I found it. [And for anyone who wasn’t part of the Grand Reef exploration:] When we went to explore the Grand Reef some of the fish kept mentioning something that attacked the Degasi crew and that one of them might’ve sunk to the water that flows below. Problem is I don’t know if that means one of the crew members or one of whatever attacked them.
Anyway, I’m going back. I didn’t get far enough to really explore down there but there’s a bunch of caves and waterfalls that need to be checked out. [A beat.] Annnd some other stuff.
[That’s not ominous at all.] The tunnels should be big enough to get a submarine down there if anybody wants to come with me. [And suddenly he seems a little more commanding.] I don’t know what we’re going to find down there but if you think you can hold your own, let me know. I want to go back soon.

[ Asgore's voice was a friendly rumble. He felt like he hadn't been pulling much of his weight around here so far; this seemed like a good time to start. ]
I am rather large, though. If there won't be enough space for the rest of the crew, I understand you preferring to leave me behind.

If it's a problem, we'll take two subs. No big deal. I don't know what we're going to find out there but it shouldn't stop anybody who really wants to come along. What kind of magic?
no subject
I'm a fan of fire magic, but I can use other types. The first time I arrived I formed two hands in the water to push myself and my companions to the base. I promise you, I can do more than that, but both can be useful!
no subject
Still, Asgore starts talking about magic and he's grinning even if Asgore can't see him.] It's always good to meet more people who can control the water. I've only met a few besides me since I got here. But you can use fire and water? [Asgore are you an Avatar too????]
no subject
But you can control water? That's a fine ability!
no subject
[Asgore might not be saying it, but as a demigod Percy's already thinking that. Let's hope nobody has to attack anything. Still, Asgore brings up the water thing after Percy mentions it and he can't help but grin. It's easier to talk about it here than his own world, anyway.] But uh, yeah. Yeah, I can. My dad's the god of the seas. It's a family trait.

It didn't last - especially when Percy mentioned that he was the son of a god. And a god of the seas. Asgore had been under the earth for a long time, but he knew that pantheons of gods had been worshipped on the surface. It was a mighty claim.
Of course, he didn't believe in too much other than 'vague Christian traditions boiled down and mass produced', so it didn't mean a huge amount to him. ]
Goodness. Does he know that you're here? It seems like he might be mighty interested in a planet like this!

Good question. [He doesn't mean for it to sound as dry as it does, but it's hard to say what Poseidon does and doesn't know about his son. Supposedly the gods keep an eye out when they feel like it, but after everything that's happened with Gaea? Well. They're probably busy.] I saw him a few weeks before I came here so I probably won't hear from him again until they need something from us.
[He's not going to bother saying he's vaguely thought about praying to him to see if Poseidon shows up. It makes zero difference.] We've never seen a planet like this one before though. Have you?
no subject
... He hoped that he could find it. ]
Er... I've only just come back to the surface of my own planet after a long time of imprisonment! So... gosh, no, sorry, I haven't seen a place like this before!
no subject
I might be one of the few people that really likes it here. There's way too much ground to cover though. [A pause, and then:] Imprisonment...? How long is a long time?
no subject
[ A long time. ]
Several thousands of years?
no subject
Oh. Well...welcome back to the surface. [That's a really long time what the hell.] I don't know many people who've even lived that long.
no subject
[ The age thing was... a bit of a sore issue. He didn't want to do this old. He wouldn't have been if Asriel hadn't died. But... that grief had been etched into his heart for a long time now. He could think of it without getting overcome. It still wasn't pleasant to think of or explain, though. ]
I'm just a rather old man thankful to be a help!

I'll let you know as soon as we're leaving so we can go together. Sound good?
