[What it says on the tin: got a July mission you want to play out? Feel free to thread it in here! Please note in the subject header what mission it is and if it's open to all or closed to a smaller group. If you want to make your own separate log for a mission, that's fine too, of course!

[A Turtle can't always be building a submarine. Don's taken a little break from his work, swimming out near the base so he can get an idea of where exactly the Shell Sub mk. II might eventually be launching from.

It's then that he spots Fukami - though he hears the octopus man first, the 'hm' resounding through his mind. At first Don wonders inanely if this might be a friend of Korosensei's, but it's just as likely that this a completely different kind of person.

He may as well be friendly.]

How's that terraforming gun working out so far? [He should totally take it apart one of these days to see how it works.]

[octoroom]

[Fukami's tentacles curl and he glances over his shoulder at-- that appears to be a turtle man. Not at all disconcerted (he's an animal himself), he nods very briefly in greeting before he surveys the area he's setting to working on.]

It is interesting. [It's all he supplies at first, but fires several blasts, slowly building up the beginnings of an earth wall.] But it works well.

Though it will take a little time until I can make walls with it that I'm comfortable with, strength-wise.

Is there some kind of weakness with the kind of walls it's making that makes you say that? [From where Don's floating, the sand-and-soil composite doesn't look that weird. He makes to swim closer to it, as if to investigate, assuming the octopus man won't stop him.] I've been curious about the terraforming mission URSULA was talking about, and these guns are really incredible. Still, if there's a problem...

No.

[It's not that at all. Fukami hefts the gun in his grip, firing off another to build up the wall that he's working on.] Nothing like that. I am just cautious, and I wish to make certain they will hold up.

[bonomial]

Makes sense. [Don still prods the solid-seeming wall in front of him; it feels as dense as the surrounding seafloor, at least...] Without analyzing this better I can't be sure, but it's looking good so far. How long have you been at this?

[octoroom]

Not very long. No more than an hour, at least.

[Fukami pushes himself through the water closer to him, as if to watch what he's doing.]

So there's not much of a learning curve? [Don's clearly fascinated with the device himself; he keeps glancing over at it as if he'd like to try it out himself.] For such amazing technology, it sure seems easy to use. Point and shoot, right?
