I have to admit, when I first came here I was a little worried. Thought we'll end up with some like my sister's old teammates who'll try to scare us. Everyone's been very sweet. No pranks at all!

It has a ring to it, don't you think? Basemates! Maybe it can become a new word for all of us here.

I know! My sister and I took the time to figure out what was going in prior to our arrival.

So many things have been added here from what we've read. Supplies and rooms and equipment! I'm glad we weren't here when, apparently, there was only one toilet and very bad coffee for the crew. [ eve and ada can't have coffee anymore but the idea of there being bad coffee, period, was a sad thought to eve. ]

That must have been unpleasant! I'm sorry that happened to you and the others when you came here.

Oh I suppose it makes one so much more appreciative of the progress made here on the base at least! What are you looking forward to the most? I can't wait for the recreation room to be done. We'll finally have a proper place to gather and meet.

The team captain! You must be very talented in it then.

Being captain must have been exciting. Swimming as a sport in general must have been exciting, period! But I only did swimming as therapeutic exercise so maybe this is lack of experience speaking. [ and her not being able to swim all that good is kind of a shame since they're surrounded by water… quite a flaw to have…

Not really. Swimming for me was mainly exercises like floating in the water or things like that. I just know how to float and maybe do a doggie paddle but that's about it.
