[Although the month is drawing to a close, there's still plenty to do--such as clearing out the last few rabites, working on constructing portions of the new and improved base, sharing various information gleaned from the month's efforts, and make sure to have some downtime in between all of that. Getting a sun tan before fall fully sets in is important too!]

[perking up and scooting in closer, looking around for said book]

What book? Let me see.

[he colors a little, perhaps unexpectedly, and tucks it further behind him]

Sorey, focus on your new alcohol experience.

[A normally sober Sorey would notice an additional but of color on Mikleo's face, but current working-on-his-second-drink Sorey is unfortunately oblivious to it. Not to say he's too tipsy, but he is a little bit more enthusiastic. It's hard to tell, he's always enthusiastic.]

Come on, I can multitask!

[oh my god. leans back over it almost protectively]

I'll show you later!

Why can't you show me right now? It's not like it's a secret.

[Since it seems like a perfectly reasonable selection to him, there's no teasing over it. He leans in too far to grab it, bumping shoulders with Mikleo and then just staying there while he flips through the pages to chapter 1.]

Nice! Have you started it yet? How is it?

You're supposed to be keeping Rose and Alisha company, you know -- I--I haven't started it yet.

[he was GOING TO WAIT UNTIL THE REST OF THEM WERE SLOSHED]

[IT'S TOO LATE HE HAS TO SHARE WITH THE CLASS NOW]

I'm keeping everyone company! We're all here together. We could start reading it.

[covers his face with BOTH hands]

[He stops at what is presumably chapter one and begins reading aloud.]

"Once upon a time there was a young seraph named Mikleo who didn't want anyone reading his books, because it was too embarrassing for him to handle."

[tips sideways against him, making grabbyhands]

[laughing and holding the book as far away from Mikleo as he can, leaning back and trying not to knock his drink over in the process.]

No way, that's really what it says! I wouldn't make that up!

[POKES HIM IN THE SIDES]

[imsorey]

[--squirms and drops the book]

[oneandmikleonly]

[nearly brings the pillow fort down grabbing for it, but HA! SUCCESS]

[nudging Mikleo off of him with an elbow, accepting his defeat with only minimal sulking as he rubs a hand at his side.]

That was a low blow.

You deserved it! If you're going to read the novel out loud, you might as well read the actual novel!
